Cracker Barrel said it pulled some Duck Dynasty merchandise from its stores over concerns it might offend guests, a move that infuriated thousands of customers and confused many others.
"We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation," Cracker Barrel said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
The full statement read:
Cracker Barrels mission is Pleasing People. We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. These ideals are the core of our corporate culture. We continue to offer Duck Commander products in our stores. We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation. We continually evaluate the products we offer and will continue to do so.
Cracker Barrel's statement led to confusion among some customers who wondered if the restaurant was removing Duck Dynasty products owned by A&E or products owned by the Robertson family's Duck Commander business.
Cracker Barrel did not return phone calls seeking clarification or comment.

Thank you so much for the inside info on Cracker Barrel.
I’ve now taken our local Cracker Barrel off our dining out list, and we have scant few restaurants in this small town!
You’re so right about everything you wrote. I noticed long ago, that the preferred management is black, which is not unusual here, but last summer we noticed a mile high “gay server” flitting around the restaurant to the amusement of several out of town patrons and the utter disgust of several others. I mean, he was off the wall gay, so as to catch everyone’s attention.
Mostly Rednecks eat there and they will be seeing fewer of them in the future. Dumb move.
Pray America is Waking
That’s a shame because every CB I saw had good truck parking and good food. Problem is you have to get past the damned gift shop to get to the dining room, and if one’s girth is wide that’s no small task.
Cracker Barrel is still offering Duck Commander merchandise, the profits of which go directly to Phil Robertson and his family!
So you don't like the place because it's 'Social Responsibility' pamphlet has a picture of a little black boy on it? Sheesh! You're wound a little tight aren't you?
Just because the restaurant has the name 'Cracker' in it, doesn't mean only white people eat there, you know.
The ambiance is cozy but the food is lousy, especially the sawmill gravy. Why does anyone eat there?
Actually by using the black boy as the sole image on that page, Cracker Barrel is merely pandering. It's tokenism on their part as if saying "see...we're not a bunch of Southern yahoos...we're so liberal we have a black face pictured!"
I hope that makes any possible misunderstandings we have clear. No, it wasn't the black boy at all. It was the company's use of the image as a means of covering their white guilt.
My wife and I were in Cracker Barrel today. I didn’t see any Duck Dynasty or Duck Commander products. However, one of the customers was wearing a Duck Dynasty tee shirt and was seated. I wonder how other businesses will handle customers wearing Duck Dynasty or Duck Commander products.
Y’all still have maxwells and tuminellos?
Back in the day
And the southern tearoom
And something tavern?
You look nice yourself in those pics BTW
WOW, Proves again that there is no cure for stupid.
See posts 32 and 36.
Cracker Barrel food is bland and tasteless
Every Cracker Barrel I’ve been in, you couldn’t fit ONE of their regular customers in a 55-gallon drum, man or woman.
They usually have their chair about 3 feet from the table and their gut still hangs over it.
They sure like to eat!
I am planning a trip into Cracker Barrel country.
Not going there now. Will find another place to eat & spend my money.
Moving will require 2 U-Haul trucks, 3 U-Haul trailers, a car pulling the 3rd trailer & a Chevy dually pulling 4 horse trailer. 4 Adult drivers total.
Would have been a decent meal ticket. Not Now.
To an extent, but NOTHING like you see at Old Country Buffet.
The real hefties know where the hog trough is full up.
I bought a bag of Duck Dynasty Beef Jerky.
The info on the bag states that A & E owns all the logo rights to the name Duck Dynasty.
They are shooting themselves in the foot if they are pressuring Cracker Barrel.
Ha, ha! Yeah, I forgot about them!
