Cracker Barrel said it pulled some Duck Dynasty merchandise from its stores over concerns it might offend guests, a move that infuriated thousands of customers and confused many others.
"We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation," Cracker Barrel said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
The full statement read:
Cracker Barrels mission is Pleasing People. We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. These ideals are the core of our corporate culture. We continue to offer Duck Commander products in our stores. We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation. We continually evaluate the products we offer and will continue to do so.
Cracker Barrel's statement led to confusion among some customers who wondered if the restaurant was removing Duck Dynasty products owned by A&E or products owned by the Robertson family's Duck Commander business.
Cracker Barrel did not return phone calls seeking clarification or comment.

If it’s A&E stuff that’s a good thing.
(screw A&E)
If it’s DD stuff that’s a bad thing
Let’s get the facts and see.
A couple of busy travel days coming up, I predict the Crap Bucket will have the items back along with the typical half-assed non-apology within a week, once they’ve felt the pain of who’s really “offended”.
You failed your mission.
CRACKER BARREL
These ideals are the core of our corporate culture.
Ahhh...there’s the rub.
Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra kept this one in the act for a quarter-century. On stage, Dino used to have a bit of business where hed refill his tumbler and ask Frank, How do you make a fruit cordial? And Sinatra would respond, I dunno. How do you make a fruit cordial? And Dean would say, Be nice to him.
“Pleasing people?” How about “Pleasing God”....
“Cracker Barrel’s statement led to confusion among some customers who wondered if the restaurant was removing Duck Dynasty products owned by A&E or products owned by the Robertson family’s Duck Commander business.”
It sounds like the Duck Dynasty A&E owned products were dropped. This was probably due to pressure from A&E. It sounds like they are still selling Duck Commander Products owned by the Robinson family.
In that case, HOORAY!!!
I’m heading out to CB for dinner.
Damn, as a cracka, the Cracka Barrel is all I had left.
The gay advocacy groups are loud and ubitiquious, receiving a lot of sympathetic media coverage but they do not represent the vast majority that support businesses such as the Cracker Barrel 'family' restaurants. Trying to appease the minority left and homosexual advocates is foolish and counter-productive to good management. Perhaps Cracker Barrel executives need to be reminded of that, as I expect they will be.
I am offended they took it out, and I used to eat there.
The Duck Dynasty brand is owned by A&E.
The Robertsons own the Duck Commander brand.
Cracker Barrel is removing the DD merchandise.
I read somewhere and cannot remember where, so take it with a grain of salt, that they were only removing the products that involve Phil in case they offend people.
That’s pretty funny - LOL !!!!
The question then is, how much of the sales go to A&E and how much goes to the Robertsons?
While you are there tell everyone how much you like and agree with the Robinson family and if CB does not support them you will never set foot in one of their restaurants again. Tell the manager or the owner if you can.
I can proudly state, however, that never having watched Duck Dynasty, I can happily remove any possibility of my ever visiting a CB in the future.
Any enemy of Holy Scripture, is no friend of mine.
This is becoming a "time for choosing" and I'm happy to stand with believers against the ungodly (no not homosexuals, for believing you are one is different than the act but those who support the act.)
