[history]
Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has been fired from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality.
A+E Networks, parent company of A&E, has released the following statement to Variety:
We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertsons comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.

Phil is a brilliant guy. Word is Si has had enough as well...Si’s wife says she saw more of him when he was in Vietnam. This could be a clever way of these folks getting out of their contracts. It’ll be interesting to see Phil and Si’s reaction to all of this. Guaranteed to be hilarious!

Actually...the A&E poofters may wind up with some buckshot in their hide as a result...unless it is just something Phil put everyone up to so he can get off the show and out of his contract.

Those doomsayers who keep bleating that ‘we’ve lost the culture wars’ are in for a big surprise. The blowback here is already huge and will only get louder.

So basically Phi is being fired...
> ...for expressing a non-violent personal opinion
> ...about people who - as a rule - aren’t the fans of the show (not the target demographic)
> ...based on protests about his characterization of sin from people who evidently don’t serve the same religious viewpoint
Therefore all of these unaffected/disinterested bystanders must be appeased.
In my opinion, this was an inevitable setup: anyone holding any popular right-centered views is going to be asked about some ‘volatile’ subject and be set up for a fall. It’s all a Maoist-style purge of ‘incorrect’ thinking.

Follow the Hollywood/Obama money. Obama’s recent “poke in Russia’s eye” re: the Olympics is yet another sign just how powerfully they are connected.

Saw this coming a mile away. How you view homosexuals is now the litmus test when you’re in the public eye. It’s no longer tolerance that is required, but acceptance and validation.

Gays are in control of the entire entertainment industry.
To: 3Fingas
Only 2 percent of the country are gay but that 2 percent controls the media.
That’s why you see gays in almost every tv show. They try to homosexualize our nation .

Buy Duck Commander and not Duck Dynasty brand. Duck Dynasty brand will support AandE and Walmart while Duck Commander is owned by the family.

Supporters and champions of the homosexual agenda. Who
sponsors them?

Its no longer tolerance that is required, but acceptance and validation.
I spent a lot of years purging myself of judgements concerning gay people and trying to adopt a more live and let live philosophy. But it is becoming harder and harder to remain that way. I think I am starting to revert back in the direction of harsh moral judgement and condemnation, due to the ridiculous level of objection, when anyone declares a less than approving opinion.
I suspect that many are starting to feel the same way, and are harboring a serious dislike of gay people now, where it wasn't present very long ago. The perverts have pushed people full circle, because they can't help themselves, I suppose.
Maybe we should return to the days of beating them up, and shutting them up. It wouldn't disturb me in the least if that started to happen frequently. Perhaps they would then appreciate what they had, verses being ostracized, shunned, harassed, and penalized in our society. Maybe then they will have a more reasonable view of their situation.
