High court ends Liberty University lawsuit over health law

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear a challenge to ObamaCare brought by a Virginia-based Christian university, ending for now one of the biggest remaining legal fights against the health care law.

The justices, in turning away the lawsuit from Liberty University and leaving in place a federal appeals court ruling dismissing it, did not comment on their decision. The decision comes less than a week after the high court agreed to hear a challenge from Hobby Lobby and one other company to the law's so-called contraception mandate -- the requirement on most employers to provide access to contraceptive coverage.

As someone pointed out on this thread, there no one (in power) is doing anything about it. However romantic it is to view Lexington and Concord as being an uprising of butchers, bakers, and candlestick makers, it was lead by people with some official role. I’m not trying to say you don’t know what happened at Lexington and Concord. You probably know better than me. I just don’t see that happening without some governors or state reps putting events in motion.

President Reagan's Presidency was probably the brief rest...

In 1979, the left truly believed that they were on the verge of taking over the world, and then Ronald Reagan happened. They were not happy, to say the least.

Eight, actually twelve years of Reaganism, helped us to get on our feet and feel what true liberty should feel like.

What we have now is actually the last gasp from the left as they try to put into place everything they have ever dreamed about. That is why everything seems to be going so fast in their direction.

But, we know how it is supposed to end.

We have been in training since Reagan became president.

Because we had the best with Reagan, we recognize the enormous inadequacies within Obama as president.

We need to ask ourselves - Is Obama really the best Satan can do?

We have pretty much everything we need in order to win the good fight.

Roberts kept Obamacare in place. And likely sentenced millions to die as a result.

But injustice Roberts remains in the closet and gets to keep the kids he illegally adopted with his beard. Very different priorities.

“What suns me is how no one anywhere at any level is trying to stop them.”

The commitment level needed to stop tyranny is not there. Until citizens are willing to pay the price needed to restore the Republic no meaningful action will be taken. Token resistance will be shown and those willing to respect the rule of law will take legal challenges but these actions mater little to the lawless. In a revolution real action only comes by paying a real price.

Anyone waiting for the USSC to save America from the abuses of the executive and legislative branches in Ottawa is in la la land. The USSC is part of the establishment. It will protect the leviathan. The only way to effect actual change is to toss out the corrupt politicians, something that is increasingly difficult to do because of the massive number of Americans who are dependent on government, those who support America’s plunge into immorality and those who support and/or benefit from illegal immigration. If 100% of those opposed to those things actually showed up to vote, there could be a major shift in the balance of power. Unfortunately, in the absence of some major economic crisis, too many people are prepared to sit on their hands and let the status quo continue. Things are going to have to get much worse before enough Americans are motivated to get out to the polls and make a difference.

I really do object to the terminology used here. This is not about birth control pills. It is about abortion - killing the most innocent life on the planet. Either using the abortificant pill or the actual abortion procedures.

Birth control are the words that are being used as euphemisms. Every time we counter this issue we should use words that give the true meaning - they want their employers to participate by financing their abortions.

IIRC, it was J.Kennedy who fought C.J.Roberts tooth and nail over the latter’s changed and convoluted reasoning that managed to find O’care constitutional by a bare majority.

“Things are going to have to get much worse before enough Americans are motivated to get out to the polls and make a difference.”

A. Enough ill-informed are insufficiently unhappy with the status quo that an actual uprising of the informed, and sufficiently unhappy could simply be portrayed as domestic terrorism, and put down by increasingly militarized local “police” forces without much of a squall.

B. We may well be beyond the point where a revolution at the polls is possible. Again, so many ill-informed are insufficiently unhappy with the status quo that a massive showing at the polls by the informed, and sufficiently unhappy could simply be painted as voter fraud, offset by actual voter fraud, and summarily buried with the aid of a complicit media.

Yes. The reverse should work as well — overwhelm the system with so many cases of people refusing to comply. However I dont see that happening. The IRS is too powerful and WILL bring you down.

The court system has been infiltrated as per communist plans from long ago. The constitution is toilet paper. There is only one real option left.

The media was threatened in Oct of 2008. It was an election under communist seige and thus not valid. Just like Obama has never been eligible to hold the office of President.

Can I assume Roberts was the deciding justice on this?

If I recall correctly, only four justices need to consent to hear a case. We really shouldn't waste our time trying to figure out why the court refused to hear the Liberty case. Could be as simple as the conservatives justices believe they have the votes for a narrow ruling in favor of Hobby Lobby, but that the Liberty case raises issues that could muck things up.

The IRS will bring you down even if you do obey. The only way the IRS will give you a pass is if you become a robot and hand the controls over to them.

People need to decided whether they agree with “Better dead than communist red”, because those are fast becoming the only 2 options.

It must be really nice to have a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court and therefore never have to answer to anyone, ever.
