It's been a tough year for the liberal cable news outlets.
Data released Tuesday show CNN shedding 48 percent of total viewers since last November and MSNBC dropping 45 percent.
The numbers were even worse in the all important demographic of people aged 25 to 54 as CNN's ratings dropped 59 percent and MSNBC's 52 percent.
In an off-election year, and with last November's numbers skewed higher as a result of the presidential election, it should be expected for ratings to decline.
However, Fox News didn't see close to these losses. In total day, FNC is only down 18 percent since last November and 30 percent in the demo.
As you might imagine, prime time numbers were also down.
CNN was off 54 percent in total viewers and 62 percent in the demo. MSNBC declined 50 percent in total prime time viewers and 57 percent in the demo.
By contrast, FNC was second in all of cable in prime time this November averaging over 2 million viewers. This represented a decline of 21 percent in total viewers and 41 percent in the demo.
As such, no matter how you slice it, the liberal cable networks fared much worse in the past twelve months than their far more centrist competitor.

You are exactly right with your comment. I have spent week-long training times with African-American co-workers, and the ONLY channels they ever watch are BET, MSNBC, and CNN (and they mostly just leave the TV on BET).

I’m overjoyed. The Atlanta Greyhound has stopped showing CNN in favor of the Weather Channel. Even the reality shows are more real than their expose of Sea World that they show ad nauseum, or Firing Line, with its host, has-been politician Newt Gingrich.
One conservative representation vs. five other liberal stations.... Fox could easily take about half and the other’s, e.g., CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, etc., have to share the other half. TV news is really just politically skewed for the viewership. Today in Obama’s America the masses are realizing that the TV news really has just represented the Democrat Party and the President, while lying about the conservative opposition. It took Obamacare but eyes are wide open today.
I guess this means they’ll change their editorial policy and hiring practices and on-air antics. /s
CNN has been trying to move a little toward reality from it’s mostly leftist fantasy island, while MSNBC has deteriorated even further, and shareholders must be merrily along for the ride.
Meanwhile Fox picks up market share along with “stars” from all other networks.
It’s easy to spot cult mentality — categorical rejection of Fox, which is literally the only remaining source of broadcast news — that is, actual news — in the US. FB I had one simpleton tell me “sorry, I won’t read it, because Fox conflicts with my beliefs”, in exactly those words (I only omitted my first name in this quote).

Most airports do it this way, too. Especially at the gates. Very annoying. I’m convinced it’s a political statement and also a means to not annoy the mostly black and Hispanic employees who work at airports. I’m guessing the powers that be believe putting on FoxNews would create disharmonious workplace conditions. Perhaps flight delays would increase.

If I;m at an airport or Docs I always ask can I turn the channel and most times they do for me
I flicked over to MSNBC because I hear so much about it on here and boy was I stunned.
They have AD;s promoting their lefty agenda, they don’t even hide their bias and the hate they spew even in their so called news reporting is stunning.

He wanted to turn FOX off but I and two others said we were watching it to which he stormed outside shouting how he will wait outside as he can’t watch Fox.
The whole waiting room erupted with laughter especially seeing him sulk on the steps outside .

They always have CNN at the gym my company has. I always change it to Fox and every time I do so I get in a fight with some stupid Libtard. It’s amazing how many stupid commies live in Connecticut. So much for the Constitution state (I’m a native).I always tell them I don’t want to watch the gummit propaganda channel, it insults my intelligence. I seriously believe half the viewership of these channels is airports and other businesses.
Not only that, the commies have every single media source saying every single thing the exact same way. Just means the zombies are being brainwashed somewhere else.
