MISSPEAK 1: to speak (as a word) incorrectly 2: to express oneself imperfectly or incorrectly [e.g., claims now that he misspoke himself]
In an editorial of today, the New York Times couldn't bring itself to say the simple truth: that President Obama lied when he repeatedly assured Americans that, under Obamacare, if they liked their healthcare insurance policies they would be able to keep them. The most the Times was able to admit was that [emphasis added throughout] "Mr. Obama clearly misspoke when he said that." Misspoke. Yes, of course. As you see from the Merriam Webster definition above, the word does not imply any intent to deceive. Indeed, as in the example Merriam Webster offers, to misspeak implies a lack of intent.
The editorial gets worse, as you'll see after the jump.

it depends on what is is
When is a lie not a lie? When Obama said it and the NY Times is writing about it. Ping to Today show list.
He misspoke dozens, possibly hundreds of times without anyone in the Democrat Party or his Administration telling him? One would think he’s just there for background ‘color.’
Misspoke my azz he lied, and is still lying.
Incredible. What is the over under for the Sunday shows on how many Obama sycophants show up with the same talking point.
Misspoke THIER definition...............he was illinformed by his staff, he didnt have all the facts, HE knew what he meant but YOU didn’t understand his intellect
Misspoke OUR definfition................. he lied!
There is an article about his aides discussing whether or not to include ‘the lie’ in his speeches to push bocare.
In the world of leftist “journalists”, Democrats always “misspeak”, whereas Republicans just plain lie.
Same old NYT, S.O.S.
One of ten thousand lies that he has spoken since coming into the office. what difference does it make? How can the NYT be outraged about one lie and ignore the 9,999 other ones? Where is the shock here (at FR)? ... there is none , because everyone here (at FR) had to quit being outraged after the 100th lie he blatantly told after the first month in office.
Other wise we would all be in an insane asylum.
Misspoke? Repeatedly, emphatically, for years? Hahahaha! And NYT wonders why they’re dying.
This is all over.
The American people chose Islam, pRes_ _ential lying,
and their own demise without healthcare,
during their last election of your King."
Yes he “Misspoke”.
It reminds me of that delightful turn of phrase the Clinton administration made so popular: “mistakes were made”. Never “I made a mistake”, just that vague subject-less mantra.
Of course he misspoke. That’s his normal speech pattern. It’s what liars do day in and day out.
Period.
It is the 'news' media.
Misspoke?
Yeah, dozens of times. As did many on Team Obama.
==
It was a lie. They knew it was a lie. Just like they knew saying the obscure movie trailer was the cause of unrest in Egypt and the al-Qaeda attack in Benghazi. Even Obama was using the movie excuse for weeks after the Benghazi attack. They knew al-Qaeda was behind the attack, but they created the lie. Ann Rice repeated the lie on 5 Sunday morning newstalk programs.
Outright lying seems to be so easy for Obama and his Administration.
With them, it is lie after lie after lie after lie.
The bass turd is a MF liar PERIOD.
The bass turd is a MF liar PERIOD.
The bass turd is a MF liar PERIOD.
a. Communists and progressives always redefine words to convey something different, with deliberate intent to deceive = LIE
b. In the case of Obamacare, he did not even misspeak, he did not nuance, he was clear in the words he used. He chose unambiguous words to deceive == LIE
by a. It is a LIE to say be misspoke!
