October is the pink month for the NFL. Players, coaches, cheerleaders and even stadiums are adorned with the color to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The league also sells pink merchandise (hats, jerseys, etc.) and donates a portion of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society.
How much of the proceeds? Well, not a whole lot. ESPNs Darren Rovell is reporting (via Business Insider) that the league takes a 25 percent royalty from the wholesale price (1/2 retail), donates 90 percent of royalty to American Cancer Society.

Exactly . We don’t donate to the pink organizations , and my family has been hit hard by breast cancer .
Really sick of the laughable pink crap all over the gridiron. The Komen Fund is a bunch of baby-killers and I refuse to support them. Maybe next year the NFL will do prostate cancer. Yeah, right. Not PC enough.
They spend more fundraising and giving to Planned Parenthood than “research”
As I stated last year...”It’s time to Punt the Pink!”
The players should all wear latex gloves for Prostate Cancer Month.
I detest pink mafia month.
all the effort in trying to feminize the NFL isn’t working. Soon they will request that the players try to talk out their differences instead of tackling.
Went into my grocery store one day a couple years back, and I noticed all the generic stuff (and some name brand too) had pink labels. I asked a clerk, “What up?” She picked up a can and chirped, “Look! A portion of the sales goes to Komen for the Cure!”
I told her, “Well, that’s a lot less merchandise I have to look at to buy, because they give money to Planned Parenthood.” They can keep all their pink crap.
I am all for cancer research - friends and family and suffered and died from it. However, what is the goal and just how is being spent? How much are the administrative costs taken out before reaching the researchers?
Yep-—part of “pink” is for boys, too. Using every single issue/cause to emasculate men, which is essential for slave states and an added way to reduce women to body parts. Perpetual war on boys even at a NFL game-—ha— and destroying concept of true masculinity. So many boys don’t have active fathers and will remain immature males into adulthood-—unlike in the age of Lincoln or Mark Twain, where men were men for the most part at 18—they had to mature or die.
This article is from 2009, but the wife of the Redskins’ owner was diagnosed:

But each October, Tanya has stood outside FedEx Field handing out pink ribbons as fans arrived for a Redskins game, part of Think Pink!, the campaign she and the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority started in 1999 to raise breast cancer awareness. At the time, the Redskins were the only N.F.L. team to participate. At least 20 teams now take part, and one of the Snyders two daughters nudges pink ribbons onto reluctant men by telling them, Real men wear pink.
Between the NFL’s ‘cut’ of the proceeds and their 0bama ads and their tax-exempt status, I’ll pass.
Viewing football has been over for me for sometime now.
“I am so sick of looking at a pink clad NFL.”
You would think that this would solve the problems with crippling injuries and repetitive concussions because the players wouldn’t hit each other as hard!
ObaMaoCare makes it likely that far fewer of us will.
Geeze, I guess not, but I wonder if it’s because the pink is a big donor to Planned Parenthood, which is the world
s biggest abortion provider and abortion is a Class I breast cancer contributor.
No. I think not. I don’t think people know that, they don’t want to know it.
Maybe it’s because there has been no observable reduction in the incidence of breast cancer in thirty years (because the research group contributes heavily to the worst offender).
I say get that pink $hit out of here. NFL isn’t about women. Never has been. Never will be. Women should just sew and play effin bridge and gossip.
Remember when the NFL used to be a sport and not a political agenda?
Pray America is Waking Up
