Sen. Barbara Boxer (D., Calif.) claimed on Friday that the federal budget deficit has been cut in half under Obama.
Budget figures provided by the White House show that the deficit nearly tripled from 2008 to 2009, when Obama took office, and has remained above $1 trillion since then, though 2013 projections are slightly lower.
The country has seen higher budget deficits during every year of Obamas presidency than it did during any of his predecessors eight years in office.

The sad thing about it is the number of people who will believe her.
Look at the increase from 2007 to 2009. Incredible.
Now you know where all the killer peyote goes .. DC DemocRat Leadership
She thought all those figures in red were colored just to highlight them.

Before Obama, the US deficit never reached a half trillion dollars. Since Obama took over, it has never gone below a trillion dollars.
Perhaps Mrs Boxer is unaware that a trillion dollar deficit is twice as large as a half trillion dollar deficit.
No, that’s what the magic trillion-dollar platinum coin is for.
It's true! Jobs are being exported every day.
Yeah. Either her prescription has changed substantially, or she's looking at a different budget from everyone else.
The more accurate choice, however, is that she's delusional and suffering flashbacks to her heavy drug use days.
War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.
Obama cut the deficit.
We have always been at war with Eastasia.
The second rope is yours barbara
Yeah, well ... Unfortunately too many people just vote for whom the Media supports. I watched part of the Carly vs. Boxer debate. Although Carly is a bit RINO-esque, the debate was a joke. It was four on one. Both Media questioners AND the moderator and Boxer vs. Carly. If people watch these performances thinking a 'fair' media is moderating the questions they are going away thinking the Democrat is better (particularly since most people don't listen to the debate but are moved by the talking heads' reactions). To me it was clear that Carly was the most competent of the two (a low standard, I know), but the election was a blowout for the blowhard.
I figure it is Havidol.

Not worthy of the thought required to respond.
Something is wrong with this womans mind.
Amazing!!!
First, they want credit for ‘saving the economy from a Great Depression’ with the stimulus package (Congress passed a $787 billion stimulus package on February 13, 2009. AFTER Bush left office.)
But then they want to stiff the guy with the tab, like he was still at the table
I shouldn’t be surprised whenever the Dems want it both ways But, I still am. It disturbs me, though, that there are many who are too dumb to do the math.
That’s rich!
Really. who’s gonna call her on it? The Dems can say the dumbest things and everyone applauds.
These idiots, like Boxer, can say this with a straight face because the deficit was 1.3 trillion two years ago and they believe it will be only 642 billion this year, ergo 50% reduction. But the year end number is not known and is not likely to be 642 and if it is even close it will be because of the sequestor.
