Doesn’t matter....It has to go through the DEM Senate and the president would sure never sign it. He’s just laughing his butt off.

When we take the senate next year, what’s to stop us then?

Others have faced impossible odds:

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

All these RAT clowns will be on record, as well as the RINOS.

Karl ... Karl Rove ... is that you?

With respect, exactly where will you draw the line at stopping this monstrosity?

Let Obama and the Democrats be responsible for shutting down the government, so we can finally have the discussion about runaway government growth that we’ve needed to have in this country.

Maybe So. But it pisses Obama off more than anything. Remember his reaction to the Navy Yard Shooting? It was a tragedy and all that, but then he went on to blast Repubs for focsing on defunding Obama Care.

This is a huge victory. But... the battle is not over.

Because it is highly unpopular and there are some dems who would like to be re-elected next year, I suspect it will get some surprisingly good dem support, as long as it is not enough to actually pass it.

But I suspect our government will be shut down this time. I’m kinda excited about it, actually. But I fear I’m excited in the same way those southern gentlemen in the early scenes of Gone With the Wind were excited about kicking some yankee butt. :-(

That’s not the point. The rudderless GOP has to establish some principles upon which to get some credibility. No GOP congressmen or senators voted to pass Obamacare. It was a totally partisan disgrace that was crapped upon all of us.

I don’t care if the effort fails. We can’t change the future if we can’t fight now! Cruz and Lee are right! Fight and don’t stop fighting!

With no funding, though, doesn’t that make the Affordable Care Act moot?

It’s not clear to me what will happen next. Will Republicans present a new health care insurance plan? Will we revert to totally private health care insurance in the mean time?

Mark Davis .... heard him this morning regarding his article and I think he makes some good points:

Our Moment Has Arrived: All Hands On Deck to Slay Obamacare

They may lose this battle, but I am just glad to see SOMEBODY with the courage to fight back. The country is starting to pay more attention and grassroots is mobilizing. If you surrender before the fight, you lose every time. After the Syria debacle, where the public resoundingly said 'no' and Congress was listening, nothing is impossible. Look at how the country was founded ... whoever would have thought those patriotic 'rebels' would win? We've lost this spirit that made us such a great country .... time to get it back.

We all know that already. It is a matter of a test of resolve and commitment by Republican functionaries in the House and Senate as to whether they are willing to listen to the prevailing attitude of the constituents out here in the rest of the country instead of some ass-locked media ghoul corrupting RINOs on their weekly Sunday shows.

If I understand correctly, this is a continuing resolution to fund the government. Funding has to originate in the House; it’s either this or nothing. Without a bill to fund the government there is no funding for the government. IOW, if Obama doesn’t sign it the government shuts down. Everything. No pay checks for the Usurper-in-Chief.

Somebody tell me if I’m misunderstanding.

Who cares what Obama is doing. FFS, people, you whine and whine about the GOP having no spine, then when they vote the right way, you claim it’s meaningless cause Obama won’t go along. BIG DEAL. He was NEVER going along. When did ANYONE think Obama would go along? sheesh.

It has to go through the DEM Senate and the president would sure never sign it.

That's what the shutdown is for.

It will divide the Democrat party. Zero is willing to take the country down with him, but the rank and file won't put up with it.

All we have to do is ride herd on the RINOs. No easy task. But they are easily cowed. And we've already demonstrated that we can make progress with them. No one thought this initial vote was even possible.

This action is a lot better than sitting on your hands with a defeatist attitude and ignoring your electorate's demands (And reason for that matter). At least convictions and strategy (Use as an election tool) was deployed.

Repubs just need to talk bluntly to the people and ignore trying to impress certain media outlets/ pundits/CINOs.

I’m seeing a lot of defeatism in some comments. Defeatism never won a war.

We should keep in mind that this is a DIRECT result of pressure from the American people, and we need to keep it up. We can defeat this.

But not by whining about how we can’t win.

This will make Senate Democrats have to vote for 0bamaCare one more time before the mid-terms. That will be painful to some marginal Dem seats that are in play.

“Doesn’t matter....It has to go through the DEM Senate and the president would sure never sign it. He’s just laughing his butt off.”

That all depends on whether the House is willing to stand firm and allow the government to shut down. If they do, then this could become a game of who decides to blink first. Which is exactly what we want.
