U.S. weapons reaching Syrian rebels

The CIA has begun delivering weapons to rebels in Syria, ending months of delay in lethal aid that had been promised by the Obama administration, according to U.S. officials and Syrian figures. The shipments began streaming into the country over the past two weeks, along with separate deliveries by the State Department of vehicles and other gear — a flow of material that marks a major escalation of the U.S. role in Syria’s civil war.

The arms shipments, which are limited to light weapons and other munitions that can be tracked, began arriving in Syria at a moment of heightened tensions over threats by President Obama to order missile strikes to punish the regime of Bashar al-Assad for his alleged use of chemical weapons in a deadly attack near Damascus last month.

We were doing this in Mexico with fast and furious,we were doing it in Benghazi prior to the 4 American deaths there, and now we are furnishing weapons—gun running—to the free Syria rebels...or Al qaeda, or what ever they go by....we just do it in the open....because they are so moderate..REALLY!

So let me get this straight. Obama just agreed to work with Assad to deliver his WMD to 'international inspectors' while at the same time works against Assad by arming those fighting against him?

It gets better. Those "rebels" are Al Qaeda, and Republican US Senators, namely McCain, Linda Graham, and Bob Coker, were pressuring Obama to release the weapons to the terrorists.

And it gets even crazier: McCain and Coker met with those "rebels" (Al Qaeda) in Syria.

Think and stew about that for a while - we are giving weapons to Al Qaeda, and top Republican Senators were pressuring a Democratic President to speed up the process of getting those weapons to Al Qaeda.

Our tax dollars at work. Tennessee, South Carolina, Arizona, hope you are proud of your "Republican" Senators.

You are correct! THEY are arming the evil. I get ticked when someone says “WE” voted for Obama. :)

The people that "WE" voted for on the right, people like John McCain, Linda Graham, and Bob Coker, are just as guilty as Obama, if not more guilty, since some of them are visiting with Al Qaeda and getting all chummy with them.

McCain probably thinks of Jane Fonda the way a lot of veterans think about him.

What more can you expect from a person who’s only experience was “community organizer?”

Now now, let’s not bring up the failure of his very brief stint as a community organizer. Just because his foray into an ongoing asbestos removal project resulted in a five year delay in the completion of that project is no reason to think he couldn’t handle the chief executive position of the most powerful country in the world. Besides, his community organizing failure is not the only thing Obama brings to the table. His biggest qualification for being President comes from his employment as an ice cream server when he was a teenager. From that experience, he learned how to steal from his employer and hand out ‘free’ ice cream to his friends in order to win their influence. It was this success which help formulate his legacy in his current position.
