A young researcher whose opinions on Syria were cited by both Senator McCain and Secretary of State John Kerry in congressional testimony last week has been fired from the Institute for the Study of War for allegedly faking her academic credentials. The institute issued a statement on its website concerning the researcher, Elizabeth OBagy: The Institute for the Study of War has learned and confirmed that, contrary to her representations, Ms. Elizabeth OBagy does not in fact have a Ph.D. degree from Georgetown University. ISW has accordingly terminated Ms. OBagys employment, effective immediately. OBagy and her op-ed drew scrutiny last week when the Wall Street Journal failed to disclose OBagys ties to an advocacy group backing the Syrian opposition and lobbying the US government to intervene in Syria. The Journal was forced to post a clarification that in addition to her role at the Institute for the Study of War, Ms. OBagy is affiliated with the Syrian Emergency Task Force, a nonprofit operating as a 501(c)(3) pending IRS approval that subcontracts with the U.S. and British governments to provide aid to the Syrian opposition.

She sort of has the Kerryesque jutting chin thing going on too. Coincidence or another telling, common denominator?* *It would be interesting if possible to check her DNA with another horse face, our lying SOS.

I've been listening to podcasts of Tucscon talk radio (one of our Milwaukee gems has a show out there now) and apparently McCain has been astro-turfing his town halls by filling them with the same group of pro-war Syrians, who he just happens to call on each time.
they get up, FACE THE AUDIENCE, and make an "impassioned" plea for the US to intervene.

Contrast the quality of those who won our independence & then set up our Constitutional Federal Union with the caliber of those who are destroying it both domestically & by pursuing alien wish lists overseas! The contrast is as great as that between those who built Rome & the Caligulas & Neros.
The idea of such mentally & ethically deficient dolts as McCain, Kerry & Obama, squandering American lives & treasure in overseas adventures, is just plain sickening.
Read how much clearer, more moral & more relevant today, was George Washington's understanding or how Foreign Policy should be managed. (George Washington's Answer To George W. Bush on Foreign Policy.)

So, to paraphrase Woopie, this may not have been a "Lie, Lie", but more of a fib? It's hard to keep it all straight.
When someone says that they have a Phd, I always thought that they had a Phd. If they didn't have it, but were only working at it, they they didn't have a Phd.
Silly me for thinking that.

Is this the Gal who was on several talk shows tv and radio who spoke with conviction that she had been to Syria and knew first hand that there was a moderate rebel force there, who we needed to help?
I listened to her, and must say she convinced me for moment there, that maybe people like McCain and company were right.
At least a year ago.
She says now that the force are ex soldiers, over 100,000 strong.

The second-largest holder of voting stock in News Corp. is Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, a nephew of the Saudi king. Not anymore. Southeastern Asset Mgmt is the second-largest stockholder. Murdoch owns 39%, Southeastern owns 12%, and bin Talal owns 6.6%.

Do liberals EVER tell the truth? The short answer is 'no'.
The long answer is 'Hell, no".
I hope this clarifies matters? :)
