A young researcher whose opinions on Syria were cited by both Senator McCain and Secretary of State John Kerry in congressional testimony last week has been fired from the Institute for the Study of War for allegedly faking her academic credentials. The institute issued a statement on its website concerning the researcher, Elizabeth OBagy: The Institute for the Study of War has learned and confirmed that, contrary to her representations, Ms. Elizabeth OBagy does not in fact have a Ph.D. degree from Georgetown University. ISW has accordingly terminated Ms. OBagys employment, effective immediately. OBagy and her op-ed drew scrutiny last week when the Wall Street Journal failed to disclose OBagys ties to an advocacy group backing the Syrian opposition and lobbying the US government to intervene in Syria. The Journal was forced to post a clarification that in addition to her role at the Institute for the Study of War, Ms. OBagy is affiliated with the Syrian Emergency Task Force, a nonprofit operating as a 501(c)(3) pending IRS approval that subcontracts with the U.S. and British governments to provide aid to the Syrian opposition.

She sort of has the Kerryesque jutting chin thing going on too. Coincidence or another telling, common denominator?
D’oh!
Liars, all!
...well...Obambi might be looking for a new secretary of state.....
Do liberals EVER tell the truth?
However, it was determined she has a BS degree from the George Soros University of Future Communists.
She fits right in with Obama, Kerry, McCain, Linda, Ayotte.
Yes she does. A fraud and a liar!
When do liberals lie?
When they start to speak or write.
Believing anything said by a LIB/DIM/RINO is one’s first mistake. ANYTHING!
She looks a bit like Sandra Fluke.
It’s not entirely clear whether O’Bagy was guilty of an outright lie, i.e., claiming a PhD with no basis, or an exaggeration, claiming a PhD when she’d done everything but the oral defense of a dissertation. Or something in between. Published reports said she was working on a disseration at Georgetown: people in that status are often referred to as ABD (all but dissertation) or C.Phil (Candidate in Philosophy) to acknowledge that they’re in the process of getting the PhD.
“Ms. OBagy is affiliated with the Syrian Emergency Task Force, a nonprofit operating as a 501(c)(3) pending IRS approval that subcontracts with the U.S. and British governments to provide aid to the Syrian opposition.
Can anyone check on this 501 (c) to see if it was funded by Obozo Liar’s puppet master, George $oreA$$?
I wondered last week what on earth the administration was doing relying on the “expertise” of a 26-year old right out of school to help define their Syria policy.
Now that she’s revealed to be a fraud and a paid shill, I’m not surprised, but it still demonstrates the amateurish approach this administration takes to everything.
How strange. I recall seeing her on Special Report not that long ago and was surprised that SHE was an expert on Syria. So where did this woman go to school if not Georgetown I wonder...?
How does one actually lie about something like that anyway..? Don’t these think tanks verify their experts?
"As President Obama prepares to speak to the nation on his desire for war in Syria, critical attention is being focused on the conflicts of interest and hidden agenda of an influential writer for The Wall Street Journal who has argued for U.S. military intervention on behalf of the Syrian rebels. The writer, an attractive young woman by the name of Elizabeth OBagy, has appeared on CNN, Fox News and PBS, but her controversial connection to one side in the Syrian civil war had been carefully concealed during these appearances. As a result of the cover-up, she is now at the center of a growing controversy over whether Obamas policy is being manipulated by foreign interests such as the Muslim Brotherhood, and whether military intervention could lay the groundwork for the obliteration of Christians in Syria."

Here are three interviews she did on Fox. All fairly recent:
