While over 100,000 people were expected to show up at todays ceremonies marking the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.s I Have a Dream speech, late estimates put the crowd numbers at 20,000. Mike Levine of ABC News reported at 2:10 p.m. ET that unofficial crowd estimates from law enforcement sources put the number at over 20,000.

Of the few long crowd shots that CSPAN showed, I could see about 15 to 20 thousand at the pinnacle of that charlie foxtrot. Any more would be a stretch. Most of the day looked like about 2 to 3 thousand tops for the less important speakers. Definitely not even close to the numbers they wanted. But I’m sure they left enough trash to make up for the low attendance numbers.

Lovely hats on da ladies yesterday! Where does one even go to obtain such fashion?
I wanted to be at Glenn Beck rally, couldn’t work it out. These pictures are excellent, I wonder what the MSM said in terms of numbers for the events, how they compare. I will try to find later tonight if I can, and thanks for the visuals, really great!
Ummm...the participants were paid to be there?
Our marches are vastly undercounted
******
Make no mistake about it, our marches and especially the numbers on the 9/12 march in DC, struck fear in hearts of libs. To this day they are deeply afraid of the Tea Party.
The “visuals” of nearly one million people in DC made quite a statement. Too bad we haven’t done this again.
I agree, but actually we should get 20 million there. We’re talking some serious issues.
Maybe if they had announced they were going to burn George Zimmerman in effigy the crowd would have swelled to 25,000.
Well, now that he’s dead I’m sure he’s been voting Democrat for many years now.
Almost has to be unions as social media helped kill the rent a mobs. It seems that the left used to get good responses to calls for rent a mobs to be bussed all over about a decade ago. Minimum wage in cash or at least a free lunch used to be the Dem organizer’s carrot and stick. But it turned out, many times the left’s promises ended up like all of the others. They would stiff the sheep on the money and welch on the free lunch. The morons started comparing notes and at least figured out that joining a rent a mob was a sucker bet.
Little did he know that when he died his movement would morph into a thug-infested entitlement grab.
I was at Beck’s rally; it was huge with the crowd backing all the way up to the Washington Monument. A brutally hot day in DC but the crowd stayed for the entire event and left the area as clean as they found it.
Even though the crowd was smaller than expected, I have a feeling they still trashed the place and left it a mess.
Know of any photos?
Agree. Its all about numbers. I think the turn out would be at least one million, but should be a lot more given the sad state and direction of the country.
They be hatin' Abraham Lincoln? (I presume that is the Lincoln Monument that they are shaking their fists at)
They don't like white buildings?
They are closet Confederates? (I'm also still kind of cheesed off at Abe)
A John Wilkes Booth family reunion?
