“Why should I be limited because someone else is nuts?”

You're limited because cartels/cops want drug profits sky high. Scaring homebrewers out of the market keeps the Sinaloa ice and kickbacks flowing.

They ask us fools for ID to buy 20 pills while Mexican labs haul in truckloads of precursors from China. Then the connected dealers laugh as they cross the border with truckloads of drugs as long as all the “right” people get paid.

“Pharmacists have become little busybodies”

Yes they have,,,, but this was about 30 years ago. But you signed a form, and supposedly drugstores, or some agency checked the forms to be certain ube wasn’t buying a lot of “sauce.”

My most recent run-in with a pharmacist was a couple years ago. I have a sleep disorder. Runs on the paternal side of the family. Inability to calm down enough to fall asleep. violently thrashing when asleep, and frequent somnambulation. I’d been filling the same script at this store for 5/6 years. I didn’t realize the current script had run out. I asked the druggist for one pill so I could sleep that night, and that I’d get my doc to renew it the next day. He refused. I told my doc the next day, and he was pi$$ed! He gave the druggist an earful. Couple weeks later, the guy was gone. Maybe others complained about his attitude. He was really snotty to this 65 year old, regular customer!

So there is an age restriction on nail polish remover now? Because my 12 year old likes to paint her nails and certainly doesn’t have an ID. She is old enough that I usually let her go to the CVS while I am next door at the grocery store.

That's fine right up until they don't.

The policy, which has been rolled out across southern New England in the past few weeks, means customers must show ID and will be limited on the number of bottles of remover they can purchase,

Depending on your region, CVS may deem you to be an "acceptable risk"... for now.

Remember the types who are making the meth. Not exactly the brightest bulbs in the pack.

I just complained about a pharmacist at CVS! The only way to get things done is to make it uncomfortable for creeps who know nothing of customer service.

Our walgreens is great. I have gone there, told the pharmacist I have a horrible cold or the flu, and they will call my doctor for me, asking him to send a prescription. Takes about 20 minutes or so.

I once had horrible itching on feet (athletes foot). I tried lotrimin and all sorts of stuff. I was embarrassed sorta to go to the doc, or just maybe too stubborn. It got so bad, I called doc, next appoint avail was a week away. I was in bad shape. Went in to walgreens, explained the situation, they called my doc, and had me a lotion in about 4 hours (I went home and they robo-called when it was ready).

Also, they will meet anyone’s price on scripts, wal-mart, Osco, you name it.

Saves me a trip to the doc and sitting in waiting room for an hour, saves the doc time, saves me money, and makes me come back to Walgreens.

Flame away people.............

Anyone that wants to fry their brains with meth is welcome to do so as far as I am concerned as long as they don’t steal etc to get the meth.

Let’s have publicly owned meth houses with free meth vending machines and armed guards. Furnish them with 3 meals a day and all the meth they want. Just don’t let them leave.

Social Darwinism. Get them out of the gene pool.

I am sick of my rights being curtailed for the benefit of those that want to kill themselves.

BTW, “they” are also beginning to scrutinize people who get their BBQ grill propane tanks filled. It can be used in the production of...meth.

“Our walgreens is great.”

I determined I had a kidney infection just as Ike hurricane was going to come in that evening and people were rushing to and fro getting ready to hide in their houses for it getting here. I put in a call to my doctor and thought he probably wouldn't call me but I knew I needed Cipro antibiotic. He did call me about 4:30 pm, then he called my Walgreens, then I called Walgreens to see if they got the prescription order. Pharmacist said he was ready to go out the door to go home and get ready for the storm, but he would wait for me to get there to get that med.

My Walgreens is just across the street from me. My husband flew over there in the car to get the med and we got it. I would have been in trouble if the pharmacist hadn't waited as power went out for five days - could not have gotten that med.

I depend on Walgreens.

great drain cleaner, I’ve used it...

Until I checked, I thought you were talking about acetone. It softens and dissolves PVC.
