The video from last Friday's "Impeach Obama" overpass protest in Lombard, IL at the Great Western Trail overpass over I-355 is now up on YouTube (for unknown reasons- the video was not allowed to be available for mobile devices).

This was one of four planned Chicago area "Impeach Obama" overpass protests that occurred on July 19th, 2013. The video focuses on one location, the Great Western Trail overpass over Interstate 355 in Lombard, IL which took place between 4~6 PM. Nothing like slow traffic in humid 94° weather during a Friday rush hour.
Two events of note:
July 24th: There is an "Impeach Obama" overpass protest in Galesburg, IL.... the same day that Obama is to visit there.
August 6th: A national "Impeach Obama" overpass protest dubbed the "Patriot Wave" is scheduled.

What are those whose round spherical things poked into the chain link of the fence to make out the words? Could almost be one of those Christophe (sp?) large art installations. It would be great to see that demand everywhere, on windows of abandoned factories, Flying from the trees of the fallow orchards in the CA district where they cut off the water for the smelt, written in rocks on the ground along the international border, where the fence was stopped.
Agreed. FWIW, TeaParty is just how we started out lo those years ago, but like so many others we have come a long way, and define ourselves pretty much as Constitutionalists now :)
Regardless, the window to right this ship narrows by the day, and I really appreciate the inspiration - roadside has always been my favorite anyway, and it has been too long since we were last out there.

"Impeach Obama" Overpass Protests - Traffic Jams & Cold Pizza.

It has come to my attention by way of some Facebook pages of some friends, that there were some hostilities over the traffic congestion over I-355 between St. Charles Road and North Avenue in Lombard on 07/19/2013.
Some people may have been inconvenienced by being late getting home or going to work. Some people may have even had cold pizzas (as posted on one page). I'm trying to reconcile those tragic issues against more real problems that this entire country is facing, including those who suffered cold pizza.
This country (you, John Q. Public) has a historic level of debt created by the people who govern this country... perhaps put in office by your very own efforts. We have a new healthcare system that no one wanted and no one can afford that won't provide you the needs you hoped it would. We have criminals and numerous heavy scandals, the likes of which have never before occurred in D.C. making even Watergate of the 70's pale in comparison. We had several of our best and most heroic military people killed in Benghazi directly due to incompetence of the State Department (Hillary Clinton) and President Obama. People died and no one was held responsible. It was "no big deal" as Hillary put it. Families lost husbands and fathers and brothers, yet your pizza is cold.
We have military people dying in battles that we shouldn't even be engaged in... wars we somehow got involved in merely on an illegal presidential dictate by a tyrant who doesn't adhere to our Constitution. Members of our military are being brought home in body bags. But your pizza is cold.
We have the IRS getting involved in politics by harassing those who don't tow Obama's party line. The IRS has also forced audits on people who don't tow the line. Our Constitution is being trampled, but your pizza is cold.
We have an intelligence arm of the government that snoops on all citizens. Your guaranteed right to privacy by the Fourth Amendment has vanished under the false guise of "security". But, your pizza is cold.
We have unprotected borders and representatives in Congress who only represent special interests that are about to give amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants who have broken laws that would put any legal citizen behind bars. The illegal immigrants just as much a leach on our tax dollars as the so-called "representatives" in Congress. But your pizza is cold.
What's left of our economy is perhaps the largest economic bubble waiting to burst.. it's worth only propped up by oil prices that depend on the US dollar. The US has nothing to sell except debt and one day, we will have to pay that debt. All the US will be Detroit and life as you know it will change for the worse. But your pizza is cold.
There are enough issues to fill a book, but change needs to happen and it needs to happen soon. Obama needs to go and already with the scandals he in involved in, there is more than enough legal reasoning to impeach him (more so than any former president) if only Congress had the balls to do so.
Congress doesn't have the balls, so We The People (that includes you with the cold pizza) need to apply pressure on our representatives.
Protests are pointless if they are held in an empty field and have no effect on anyone. The very point of a protest is an "in your face" address to the public at large, whether on a curb side, at the Capitol an or on an overpass during a Friday rush hour. Protests are meant to draw your attention to a problem. Protests aren't meant to be convenient to others. If the public gets irritated, then the public should apply pressure to the source of the problem... the government. If the public wants the protests to go away, then the public has to help make the problem go away. This is how the Constitution works. We The People are the unspoken "fourth branch" of a government that was intended to be "by the people, for the people". Where have you been?
The protests will continue.
We all hear the problems that are going on in this country. The question has always been, "what are you going to do about it?" While your pizza is getting cold, some gave up their pizza to stand for hours in hot, humid weather while you sat in your air conditioned car. Some went through the bother of driving long distances and spent money on signs and other materials. Some risked arrest if the police weren't happy. But your pizza -cold as it was- was safe.
At least those who protested were using their rights to do what the Constitution demands while others sit on their asses waiting for "someone else to fix things". They are part of the problem. Someone else was doing something about it while your pizza was more important to you.
If you haven't taken the time to educate yourself to know where this country is gong... if you haven't gotten angry at our government... if you aren't speaking up, you are part of the problem. And I don't give a rat's ass about your freaking cold pizza. This country is more important to me.
Those were foam cups placed into the chain link fence. They’re more visible if there is some day-glo paint applied to the bottoms. In a pinch, they used red duct tape instead.

Obama in his latest attempt threw more gas on the fire by portraying Saint Trayvon as what he was, an irreponsible kid..That explains Bengahazi, where he left a top American diplomat and his aides die and the rest of his scandals Obama hopes his diatribes will hide. .
Even after learning the shooter was a staunch Obama supporter, not Jewish, (very quickly dismissed ?) and a dark skinned “hispanic”. Obama did nothing to curtail the hyperbole or tone down his edict creating this as a racist episode. Obama the boss of bosses and gets all the information about anybody ignored Zimmerman’s defence of a homeless black maltreated by a local police officer which resulted in the disciplining of the offending officer which Zimmerman fearlessly waged a campaign to do. .
The socialists controlling the media propaganda machine oblidged.. They began claiming the exclusive “gated” neighborhood watch captain was a “white hispanic” . Used a picture of a 12 year old Martin instead of the 6 foot 165 pound person he was vs the smaller 140 pound lttle fatty neighborhood watch captain. Worse yet allowed his US Attorney General to use questionable activities to promote a show trial and ignored using a threat of prosecution to black militant groups threatening the watch captain’s life.
Do not confuse todays politicians and their ahearants in the press and academia as followers of “Liberalism”. . These are die hard God denying I’m right you’re wrong socialists incapable of independent thinking running todays media.. Devising political campaigns of lies and manipulated inflamatory languange disguised as “news or reliable information” designed to destroy any opponent or group to what is edict-ed by their leader. You must wind up goose-stepping in unison protecting the collective otherwise we will through the use of government step on you and squash you like some insect..
Why is this being done ? Who accompained Obama on his many trips around the world at taxpayer expence ? Were they the heavy hitters or their friends holding the president’s hand ? Seems like that could be considered pay back at US taxpayer expence. Isn’t that an impeachable offense ? Now if somebody even suggests this. What better way to discourage that by threatening riots in the streets ?
