If parents were making sure that their children were taught the Constitution, particularly the Constitution’s division of federal and state gavernment powers, then schoolchildren (who needs the Supreme Court?) could tell us the following. The Founding States made the 10th Amendment to clarify that the Constitution’s silence about things like marriage means that such issues are automatically uniquely state power issues.
