In a Spanish-language interview Sunday with the network Univision, Sen. Marco Rubio, the leading Republican on the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform group, made his strongest statement yet that legalization of the nations estimated 11 million illegal immigrants must happen before any new border security or internal enforcement measures are in place, and will in no way be conditional on any security requirements.
Lets be clear, Rubio said. Nobody is talking about preventing the legalization...

Can someone freaking explain to me why this is such a damned urgency?
Looks like little Tin Horn Marco just arrived at his Waterloo.
I think it was Milton Friedman who said that you can have open borders, or you can have a welfare state. You can’t have both.
A number of welfare state countries in Europe are realizing this and are trying to limit immigration so that their welfare state doesn’t go bankrupt too quickly.
bttt
There went any remaining benefit of the doubt, assuming anyone was still naive enough to still be holding out. If legalization comes first, then how is it not “amnesty”? Once they have legal status, here come the lawsuits, and here come the freebies, to the extent they don’t already get them. Rubio, go sit in the corner, and try on the conical hat.
Actually the classic is never to admit that it’s amnesty. This is different. He’s admitting up front what the rest of us have known all along.
McCain, Palin, they never admitted that it was amnesty. This guy is. The whole lot of them aren’t worth ——.
Wonder what the NSA has on him?
” Traitor! Thats all this is IMO. Its Rubio picking race over his obligation to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
Rubio showed his cards 2 years ago. He will switch parties if amnesty passes.
Well with upcoming elections the Democrats and RINO Republicans have to get their electorate legal so they can vote. Oh, wait, forget it ... they already do
Try it on? How about we nail it their with railroad spikes...
Figuratively folks, don’t get your jammies in a pinch.
I believe you’re right on the switch.
Was he making the overtures two years ago? I don’t remember now.
I can’t decide whose shooting star flamed out first, Fatso or Rubio.
” Was he making the overtures two years ago?”
Yes. Started with Dream Act.
“Can someone freaking explain to me why this is such a damned urgency?”
The first rule of sales is to create a sense of urgency or crisis. If you act today we can give you 20% off. For a limited time only... But wait! Now how much would you pay! Tomorrow only! If we don’t do this now, right this minute, then (fill-in-blank.)
Oh okay... thanks.
Up your smelly Obama, RINO-ubio.
Declare yourself a dim-bulb-crat and be done with it.
You’re outta here!
He might have just destined this “reform” to failure. Lots of US Senators can’t sell it to the voters if it isn’t enforcement first.
So much for border security first. Classic GOP-e bait-and-switch.
Yeah, his F&^$^&$&^*! Ad says “We must secure the border first”... THEN THIS, HE CAN GO STRAIGHT TO HELL!!!!
I want the 1986 Amnesty Bill “Enforced” First before any additional amnesty, they have failed to finish the rest of the 1986 Amnesty bill and that part they failed was enforcement and border security, so finish the conditions of the 1986 bill before even talking about any further amnesty...
Oh, now, that was for the gringos, don-cha-know...
Just like Yasser Arafat had one speech for the English-speaking reporters and one for the Arabs, so Rubio's says one thing for the gringos and the opposite for "his people".
This is why I’m always slow to jump on the praise-train once a new guy/gal pops onto the scene. Some folks take one look at these newbies, and fall madly in love with them. And then you can’t say one word to them that’s negative regarding their ‘love interest’.
It’s no different than the Leftists who fall in love with Obama and then can’t own up to their mistake.
We get so gamed by those who abuse us, from our own side of the isle.
