The Boy Scouts of America's National Council has voted to ease a long-standing ban and allow openly gay boys to be accepted as Scouts.

Tomorrow my attorney will be instructed to delete BSA as a beneficiary in my will.

I hope someone has the initiative to start an alternative to the BSA...one that believes in and promotes American and Christian values.

I do not know about fraud but you can be damn well sure that at a minimum there was corruption involved comprised of collusion between government and leftist organizations assisted by academia and mass media that resulted in intimidation of the members that voted. My dad was a Scoutmaster in Circle 10 Council. He loved Scouting as did my brothers.(I remember our family going to Philmont one year for a big family jamboree and I remember thinking how cool it was. I was just a little girl at the time but my older brothers were right in the middle of their scouting years. ) He would be devastated if he were still alive today. My eyes are just tearing up as I think about him and all of this. Why do these creeps have to destroy everything that was good and decent in our country?

Earlier today, I heard a NBC radio report about this matter prior to the decision. The following story was sexual assaults in the Army followed by the voices of Claire McCaskill and Susan Collins on the matter. Put those stories together and you have a painted image from the lefties. Straight men are bad and everyone else is a victim.

This is awful. My middle son earned his Eagle last night. We’ve given the youngest a year to get his. We’d like it to still mean something. This will ruin scouting and the first openly gay young man to come into our troop, my boys will leave. Everyone at our troop on all levels was opposed to this. I don’t know how they got 60% of the vote. I cannot understand how any parent would want their child exposed to this. I’m so upset about this.

God Bless America Foundation controls the rights to Irving Berlin’s famous song, which earns $100,000 - $800,000 a year. According to the link below, the foundation was going to withhold royalities to the Boy Scouts unless they accepted homosexuals.

You can’t legislate friendship, camaraderie, or support. And trying to get through the Boy Scout ranks without these is not going to happen.

If a boy is homosexual, and doesn’t make an issue of it, it will likely be ignored, unless he cannot control his behavior.

However, if he does make an issue of it, he is introducing an extraneous topic to scouting. The boys are there to learn to be Boy Scouts, not for other purposes. The more he insists on the other boys focusing on his aberration, the more they are going to resent it.

It's a ridiculous decision. Homosexuals are OK as members but not as leaders? What kind of mixed message does that send? The Scout leadership tried to please both sides of the issue, but like a lot of compromises it will do nothing but anger both sides. This will mean the death of Scouting as we know it.
