NO LINK ON THEIR WEBSITE YET,
People in Decatur, Texas told that to my dad...who then detonated 1100 cases of dynamite (with permits!) so that he could have one in spite of them.
...it can be done.
Still, you can shelter in a drainage ditch and I have done so in Indiana ~ another karstland with somewhat different topography.
Oklahoma medical examiner has advised 54 dead so far in the tornado. Recovery efforts are sad.
Thanks for the mention.
Can you imagine being picked up in that 1999 storm with clocked winds at 318mph. Ouch.
Not real funny, Yo-yo. Children have died and families are mourning.
In that situation, if you stay in the open and try to run, chances are you’ll be decapitated by flying debris, or torn off your feet and deposited in the next county.
The little ones are with the Lord. May God give their parents and loved ones His divine comfort, peace, and strength.
You obviously don’t or have never lived in Oklahoma or don’t know much about the type of soil in that particular area. Might want to do some research on your own on the internet.
Since hurricane season is almost on us on the Gulf Coast might also want to find out why we don’t have basements in our homes on the Gulf Coast.
I pray for the souls of the children and all who died in this day in Oklahoma. They are now with God in his loving presence. But I also pray for strength and comfort for those who lost their dear ones. They are the ones I’m concerned about, as they face the days ahead.
I posted this on another thread but it bears repeating.
“Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
BAN TORNADOS NOW!

For heaven's sake, you just asked a question. There was nothing insensitive about that.
A lot of people blame God when anything bad happens; just like when the devil sent a storm and a wind that killed Job’s children.
Congress should take immediate action and outlaw all tornadoes. We have to protect our children from these killers.
http://www.psmag.com/science/a-survivor-of-the-worst-tornado-in-history-tells-her-tale-58178/ my mother survived this series of storms ~ she was very young at the time ~ she’s now in her 90s. Her mom and dad lost all but one small photo of a sister who died in a whooping cough epidemic ~ that’s out of 10 kids. There were 700 dead ~
amen
How terribly sad. I’m praying through my tears.
However due to the ADA requirement for elevators, most public buildings opt for above ground safe rooms.
All little boy came to that impromptu News9 donation center and gave them his jar of change he’d been saving up.
