Fireworks on Capitol Hill happened at a Homeland Security Oversight hearing held by the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday. Congressman Louie Gohmert, Texas Republican, grilled Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano over reports (h/t Daily Beast) that an Egyptian terrorist group obtained visas and gained access to meet with top White House officials.
Gohmert also went after Napolitano over Mohammed Elibiary, an individual she placed on the homeland security advisory council and, according to Gohmert, gained secret security clearance via Napolitano to downloaded classified information that Congressman Gohmert says Elibiary later shopped to a reporter.
Secretary Napolitano said Rep. Gohmert’s “insinuations demean the committee” and she was more concerned about the “allegations that are made against anyone who happens to be Muslim” when asked if it bothered her that classified information was obtained by Mr. Elbiary.
Napolitano appeared unaware about the recent reports regarding the Egyptian terror group that visited Washington recently. Eli Lake at the Daily Beast wrote in June:

The funny part is when Sharia becomes law, all homosexuals will be stoned to death, raped woman must have 4 witnesses to file charges, abortionists will have their heads cut off, and women can’t go in public without a male relative.

I love Rep Gohmert. I wish he’d grill JNap like this, every single day. He’s the best...he never got distracted by her (typical of this admin’s) obfuscating non-answers.

Funny, in my earlier years, I really admired old Sam Ervin. A truly crusty old democrat in the style of Harry Truman.
Of course, today he would be branded a dangerous right wing extremist Like Zell Miller, and shunned from the party of Marxists.
We do have the power to conduct hearings in the House of Representatives.

Because we have the Worlds Worst leaders in the House of Representatives. John Boehner is a drunken fool, go along to get along back slapping fool. And his entire leadership should be removed, tarred & feathered. They are all a disgrace.
Yep, colossal.
But the good news is that the more arrogant and huffy and reprimanding she gets when she has to answer an uncomfortable question, the more they know she has become unglued because she feels forced to either 1) lie or 2) dissemble.
It's always a big giveaway. Even when she is coached how to evade a question, she can't control her emotions in these situations.
Obama and Holder need to give her some lessons.
Come to think of it, they should drag her up to the Hill to testify more often.
Either Boehner is philosophically in agreement with progressivism or he has made a calculation that Republicans can never win an argument and therefore should avoid them at all costs. Hence, we never see a showdown, there is no reckoning, the electorate is left to be indoctrinated by the media and we will go into the next election standing on a pile of mush.

Just like when Candy Crowly who came to Obama’s defense in that presidential debate so too the other chair person came to her defense and told Rep. Gohmert that he’s out of order.
Her actions led to the Bomb brothers as far as I am concerned.

Agreed. She is the fat elephant in the room that others want to ignore. This pig infuriates me, wonder why the rest of our congress doesn’t react the same way?!
.... I kinda lean towards both scenarios with an inside person either feeding or being allowed to feed info to OPFOR. It gives both sides the desirable position of being able to blame the other for the attacks while at the same time providing evidence to back up both arguments thus leaving both parties somewhat satisfied with the outcome of their event and investigations and bolstering hate towards the others enemies!! I am not saying that is what I absolutely believe is happening .... I'm just saying that there is that possibility. I believe that almost anything is possible until proven otherwise.
.... That said ..... it does kinda make me worried that NYPD and the Feds are planning a Chem/Bio attack simulation in the NY subways this summer. Again ... Not saying anything will happen but it does fall in line with what happened in Boston during their IED/Bomb sweep drill and previous incidents over the past decade or so.
I think it is because they agree with her and Obamas philosophy what else could it be.
She knows exactly what she is doing just like Obama.
