"Where were you on Sunday, April 27, 1975?"
I was one day short of finals in my senior year at Loyola University Maryland. Still had enough GI Bill to get me halfway through Law School.
Can't remember what I was listening to in those days - too much studying, too much bridge.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

George in Nashville was something else. Back about 15 years ago DUI calls came in on an SUV with plates “NOSHOW” on I-24.
They found him in his car hanging off a bridge on a side road. He had the presence to take himself instead of turning left.
He drank heavy and that incident got him off the road.

Thank you. “Lili Marlene” was not only his favofite it was also the favorite of the Germams too In the original veraion ir was sung by Lale Andersen. who was German. It is a freally good song.
Remember my brothers would. often sit or lie at Mother amd Daddy’s and listen to war stories some of which were entertaining. Also a few times when they probably should died but survived

Glad to hear things are well! I guess you’re still working hard? ....as usual? :)
Yes, I have ‘em and they HURT!! I’m off work till I can wear clothes. Meanwhile it’s anything loose and that doesn’t touch those places on my ribs. Ugh.

World Team Tennis still exists, although it lacks the notoriety it had in its early years when Billie Jean King played for the Philadelphia Freedoms. Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote this for Billie Jean, but unfortunately by the time of its release as a single, the Philadelphia team had moved to Boston to become the Lobsters.
The vocal melodic line is a bit nondescript but features some interesting counter-melodies via over-dubbing. Its the string line that does most of the work, and its the most interesting part of the song. It came in at #2 this week.
