Last reports indicated video of a suspect planting a device was obtained, but there is no ID on the suspect.
If they have no ID on the suspect, would not showing the video to the public possibly reveal who the suspect is? Would friends, family, acquaintances, co-workers or possibly his neighbors be able to ID the suspect?
It's already been announced world wide the video was obtained at one of the bomb sites in front of a retail shop. So it would not seem likely the investigation would be compromised, since the suspect himself would already know they had video of the devise being planted at the bomb site.
If the video was aired, wouldn't it be possible someone out there would be able to identify the suspect?
How could the investigation be compromised at this point, if airing the video could possibly help or assist in identifying the suspect/suspects before they could possible plant more devices?
Jacket on over hoodie. Hood draped over shoulder and not on head. Hat on head. You CAN wedge a hat tightly over a hoodie in up position. That would yield maximum incognito.
Could it be that “if Obama had a son, he’d look like the Boston Bomber?”
And the Ralph Lauren shop across the street caught this guy...
One is guilty...but one is just chic.
Well wait a minute here Mr. muir, they announced to the world about 5 hours ago, they had video of the suspect planting the bomb at the bomb site, but they had no ID of the suspect yet.
Could you explain how airing the video in the hopes of identifying the suspect could compromise their investigation?
Setting multiple bombs off that brutally maim and kill almost 200 innocent people is terrorism by definition, wheather it fits the agenda of our Politically Correct Overlords or not.
One thing is certain - they won't be able to lie and distort this into another case of "Workplace Violence".
Baraq’s got an illegal auntie in the Boston area community. Ask her.
Uh...They broadcasted to the entire country hours ago they have video of the bomb drop, but no ID on the suspect yet.
Would the suspect not know this?
"Crock pots! He hates crock pots!"
Today is a day to demogog gun control.
You’ll see the video of the bomber when the marxists establish a narrative they feel is constructive and when they figure out how to trot the victims out as window dress.
I think they already have fine photos of the islamic terrorists carrying and planting the bombs. BUt busting THAT terror cell the day before a big senate gun control vote would ruin Obama’s plan. Cracking down on US gun owners the day AFTER another moslem attack would be “bad optics”.
The authorities want to identify and arrest the target themselves and believe that they can do so without help from the general public.
I came across a link to a website today where someone took all kinds of digital photos at one of the blast sites in the 1-2 hours leading up to the explosion, and highlighted all of the people in the crowd who may have been involved. When it's a cool spring day in April 2013 and you're looking through a photo of a crowd for a young man wearing a sweatshirt and carrying a backpack, it's amazing how many "suspicious characters" show up in the crowd.
Patience. They’re working in Photoshop as we speak whitifying the suspect in the video.
Lots of reasons. Most of these kind of communications are aimed a lot more at the perp than the general public. Maybe the video isn’t actually that good and there’s no way they could get an ID from it. But people that thin the FBI is closing in on them start panicking, and panic actions draw attention. Or maybe they have the ID but they don’t know if he’s tied to a group, again panic actions could lead them to his group. The real world of criminal investigation relies a lot more on mistakes by the bad guy than TV shows make us think, and than investigators really want to admit.
Whats ironic is when there is a typical Amber alert for example, looking for a suspect, they immediately go public with the evidence they have, ie: Vehicle descriptions, license plates, suspect ID's, the direction last seen, flashing pics of the suspect on TV, etc etc...
Yet here they broadcast to the country they actually have video of an unknown bombing suspect, yet no video is released.
I find that extremely odd.
Well if that is true, that is a shame, and idiotic. Of course, they re-elected Bozo so I shouldn’t expect too much from many in this country...
Buncha photos of what definitely appear to be more than one perp.
Maybe people have already seen this.
We were just discussing that!
lol..
Easily. They’re toying with the perpetrators by making conflicting announcements in hopes of provoking a mistake by the rest of the cell. They may have a minor player or a chump but they want to know who else is involved. You don’t for one minute believe all these different stories and conflicting reports are unintended do you? This is a purposeful, man-made fog of war.
If it is like the Times Square bombing and other events, the perp(s) are trying to leave the city/state/country.
The authorities almost lost out on catching the Times Square bomber (he was caught at the airport).
Every moment counts. Such video images have been released in the past when there is a manhunt (even when it wasn’t even the culprit).
Authorities said that someone must know the guy behind this. Show the picture.
On another thread, one of the “heroes” of the day is now being questioned about his possible involvement. Authorities did the same to Richard Jewell.
