Good evening Beachbabe & thank you for this evening’s thread.
So Many to choose from & may I add the series Band Of Brothers to the mix.
When We Were Soldiers came out Sonboy was on spring break as I believe.
I took a day off to spend time with him & do some fun things together.
We decided to see the movie.
When the movie let out we were so devastated & I was crying the cry baby I am. We waited until everyone else left the theater so I could compose myself.
We got in the car & I asked him if he wanted to go anywhere else.
He said...”can we just go home?”
Very powerful.

Good evening, AZ...*HUGS*...thank you for the red, white, and blue Tribute to Our Troops.
Did you have a good day? It’s almost the weekend, thank goodness.
I am having a horrid time getting anything to post...the ball goes round and round and round. Gonna go start my car, then I think Wendy’s will be the Thursday night “out” dining choice.

Daddy used to show that movie on the living room wall. He had two 16mm projectors lined up and seamlessly changed the reels. I have seen that movie about 100 times. One of my faves!
We also knew the naughty words to Col. Bogie’s March!

Good evening, Kathy!

Still fighting with the craven bean-counters at the insurance company. They are soulless bastards!
Feeling better today - getting over some kind of bug that has hit everyone in the family. The shot is working, thank the Lord!
Having a little warm spell here - up in the low 50's today. Weekend is supposed to be cold though.

My personal favorite is "Gone With the Wind".
This scene never fails to choke me up as the camera rises and pans the entire railyard.
I'm slaving away at Stephen Foster's music, and I should have it ready for tomorrow and Saturday. That man was a prolific writer!

That is indeed a moving scene, Maestro! GWTW also one of my favorites, although it's been some time since I viewed it.

I have the DVD which was remastered from the original 3-color Technicolor 35 mm print. It looks like it was filmed yesterday.
