Just before 5 p.m., authorities smashed the cabin's windows, pumped in tear gas and called for the suspect to surrender. They got no response. Then, using a demolition vehicle, they tore down the cabin's walls one by one. When they reached the last wall, they heard a gunshot, officials said, and then the cabin burst into flames. This is a lie in every way, per real-time scanner "chatter" from a video on another thread.

and then the cabin burst into flames. Funny how that happens so frequently.

"If the body is identified to be Dorners,...."The article doesn't say anything about if it's not Dorner's body.

IF Dorner’s body is the charred mass found in the cabin, great. But at this point, I don’t believe anything coming out of L.A.
Next we’ll hear he was buried with honors at sea, and no pictures will be released.

I bet you could claim the body was D.B. Cooper and within the hour there would be a Facebook page about it.

He went out in a blaze of glory. Too bad his fan base couldn’t be there with him.

Charred remains?...break out the marshmallows!

This story arc just begs for conspiracy. I mean, it's almost as if they wanted people to think he got away. Maybe they planned it from the beginning, as a spark for a race war or something - I can see it now, Dorner Phoenix - Starring Denzel Washington.

So I guess if it's an 87 year old man that it'll be brushed off as collateral damage.
The implication here is that the police were not sure who was in the cabin at the
time they burned the MF down with an M-15. And didn't assume that Dorner may have escaped.

No it didn’t they set it on fire. Total destruction of private property and burning the guy alive. I don’t have much sympathy for Dorner but this is not correct police procedure especially to take down one person. It was insane.
