A 9-year old girl in Guadalajara, Mexico has given birth to a baby girl. Authorities there are looking for her “boyfriend”, a 17-year old who ran off after the girl refused to move in with him.
Investigators believe the pregnancy came about as the result of rape, but the girl, identified as Dafne, says the two of them were in a “loving relationship”. She didn’t understand the pregnancy, however, and didn’t even realize that she was carrying a child until she was in her seventh month. Because she’s so young and is clearly confused, authorities don’t know if they can take her story as truth.
State prosecutor Lino Ginzalez Corona said, “Due to her young age, we don’t know if she is being entirely truthful.”

A 3rd or 4th-grader. In our middle school the kids get “the movie” in the middle of 5th grade and they all think it’s absolutely gross.
I bet this girl is starved for attention. That’s what sex would be to a girl that age.
NYC mandates 11 year olds be taught that being a complete slut is fine and dandy. It’s insanity.

I had a woman who worked for me who was a grandmother at 28. She had her first at 14, and her 14 year old just had a baby.

That may not be the law in Mexico.
It’s common sense, if not the law. Okay, so why are Mexican authorities after this guy?
The way this story reads, authorities believe it could be rape. In the U.S., at a minimum, it’s statutory rape.
The girl is saying they were in a ‘loving relationship.’ The authorities think she is confused and don’t necessarily believe she is telling the truth. It is not stated directly in the article, but they probably believe she is mentally impaired.
That would lead one to conclude that if she consented and was in a ‘loving relationship’ with the baby’s father (who has now fled), and able to make judgments, by Mexican law it is not rape. The authorities are trying to find him and figure it out.
