As giant crosses go, this one's bigger at 500 ft.

The Vallee de los Caidos outside of Madrid drives most Spaniards crazy.

Maybe the man didn’t properly thank the Giant Crucifix enough for curing the wife of cancer. Maybe he didn’t say enough Hail Mary’s or finger the adequate number of Rosary Beads and so GC broke his leg.

Giant Crucifixes can be fickle that way.

I didn’t think humor would be appreciated, but since you went there ....

My first thought:

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

A deeply religious man in upstate New York who believes a church’s giant crucifix cured his wife of cancer....

Such idiots we have who call themselves journalists. I am sure the man prayed before the crucifix, but it was God who cured the woman. We Catholics pray before a crucifix, a symbol of Christ’s life and death on earth, in order to help us focus on God; we don’t pray to the crucifix.

If Giant Crucifixes were fickle that way, then I am sure we would hear many more stories like this.

I think he must have been sitting before the crucifix.

Cross-legged.
