Gay marriage proponents have NEVER yet won a referendum up to this point. But this MD news doesn't look good. If they succeed it would be a first and they will be ecstatic.

However, I seem to recall the polls on other past referendums seemed to be ahead also before going down to defeat.

Other gay marriage referendums this year will be held in Maine and Washington State. This article claims the gays are winning the issue there too but I suspect by not much or they would have published the numbers.

Minnesota is also voting on Nov. 6th, on a state constitutional amendment to define marriage.

So, that will be interesting to see on election night. Four blue states, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington, all voting on how marriage will be defined.

I applaud that they are at least going through the legislature and a people referendum to resolve the question.

Maryland is a “very blue” state, politically, so this isn’t a surprise.

I don’t see all those Ball’mer Eric Holder’s people voting for it. And multiple times, at that, just like Moochelle dog-whistled them to do.

They are forcing all the Maryland little boys to embrace sodomy by this move-—which will reduce women to breeders and institute the culture of Afghanistan—where sex is for recreation between males and boys and women are just for creating more little pretty boys and can be mutilated and enslaved or sodomized like the boys.

This is regression back to pagan Greece and Rome culture and hedonism where children are conditioned into pederasty and unnatural sexual acts to kill the concept of God—Justice and Truth.

It is extremely sick and dangerous—as Freud stated—to strip sex of all morality-—which is what sodomy does. Breeds chaos and evil. There is no Truth when you teach children that such a dehumanizing act is “good”. Good and Evil is being flipped—from Christian Ethics to the Ancient practices of all cultures. it is Satanic and evil.

Sodomy is vice-—no Just government can embrace evil and be Just. This “law” will be evil and null and void in a country built on Rule of Law—Justice (a virtue).

It is child abuse to destroy the natural family unit and make it into such an artificial, mockery —such vile units which have no connection to reality-— which are beyond silly and irrational and evil. No Logic and Reason with sodomites. They are irrational and evil.

The very concept is a total oxymoron. It is no more a doable thing than would be legislation declaring that the sun is now the moon. Marriage is and always has been about building families around the sanctity of procreation--a multi-generational concept, as are all aspects of any civilization. Thus marriage has always required an act of consummation, in order to be valid.

What is actually at issue, here, is the ongoing effort by Leftist groups to dismantle our cultural heritage, to destroy the multi-generational pursuits of American families. This needs to be addressed as the abomination that it is--as is every effort to force a free people to accept what is not true, to satisfy the irrational demands of those who want to force a uniformity of thought & condition on all Mankind.

For a perspective on what is happening to American culture: Losing America's Multi-Generational Purpose.

“Historic”! It’s “historic” I tell ya! Geeesh. These morons need to lighten up. Flaunting their hatred of religion (and that’s all this is) is very unbecoming and idiotic.

The homo marriage proponent lead in Washington State is hair thin even according to the polls that inevitably excessively over-sample urban voters. And most of the anti yard signs have only gone up in the past couple of weeks. As you suggest, historically polls on referenda (especially in Washington State) have painted an overly rosy picture of yes vote prospects (for any kind of referendum). I'm praying that we succeed. Not an absolutely sure thing, however.

VOTE NO on 74!!!

At some point, the Catholic Church will have to stop performing “legal” marriages. A Catholic couple will have to have two ceremonies - a sacramental one at the church, and a legal one at the county tax office.

Many devout Catholics may simply decline to be “legally” married and only receive the sacrament.

They can vote yes for gay perv so-called marriage all they want. They will never supplant God’s absolute truth. They choose hell and it will surely be their reward. What a rude awakening that will be... scares me to no end thinking that so many people will choose it too. Choose God and Christ-— this life is fleeting and temporary.

Just came across another article regarding polls for the marriage referendums. This one is a bit more hopeful:

http://www.politico.com/blogs/charlie-mahtesian/2012/10/gay-marriage-polling-uncertain-138977.html?hp=l20

The article speaks of what I have heard of the "Bradley Effect". It states that people may poll 9% differently than how they vote in the polling booth on social issues due to "stigma". This may be occurring with these referendums.

If so, the MD, Maine, and MN measures are actually teetering right on the edge.

The WA gay marriage measure, however, still polls 6% in favor of the referendum passing.

This also points out why we need a constitutional amendment defining marriage. Otherwise the pinko states will get their foot in the door and pry it open for every other state, even those that vigorously oppose it.

It's time to get this ball rolling, boy and girls. Or we'll have legalized buggery in all 57 states before you can say "Jack Pervertson."
