Barack Obama was a guest at the 1991 wedding of ABC senior foreign correspondent and vice presidential debate moderator Martha Raddatz, The Daily Caller has learned. Obama and groom Julius Genachowski, whom Obama would later tap to head the Federal Communications Commission, were Harvard Law School classmates at the time and members of the Harvard Law Review.
After TheDC made preliminary inquiries Monday to confirm Obamas attendance at the wedding, ABC leaked a pre-emptive statement to liberal-leaning news outlets including Politico and The Daily Beast Tuesday, revealing what may have been internal network pressure felt just days before Raddatz was scheduled to moderate the one and only vice-presidential debate Thursday night.
Both Politico and The Daily Beast jumped to ABC and Raddatzs defense. The Huffington Post, another liberal news outlet, joined them shortly thereafter, while calling unusual ABCs attempt to kill the story before it gained wide circulation.

On Monday evening ABC spokesman David Ford grudgingly confirmed Obamas attendance at the wedding, after shielding Raddatz in August

And we are surprised?
If she doesn’t mention it, Romney should.
“What did you think of the 0bama’s wedding, Martha?”
Wow. They are getting pretty brazen.
More than just a friend, it sounds like it is a friend whose husband’s job depends on the debate going well for Biden’s side.
I’ve noticed several news shows talking about how the Biden debate will put Obama ahead again. I laughed and wondered what the commentator was on. Now I’m thinking the fix has been in for a while.
I wish people would stop underestimating Biden. If Ryan is this overconfidant, he might get his clock cleaned.
So who is moderating the next obama/Romney debate? obama’s wife?
She would be disqualified if this was Romney who attended the wedding. There are many other people to choose from. Too cozy to be ethically allowed (imo)
A great laugh to start the day. (Well it beats crying over the likelihood that this will be spun in some similarly mendacious way.)
and he named said groom to the FCC (although they are now divorced).
A least Carney is not likely to claim he knows several Juliuses, all with the same last name of Genachowski.
This whole blasted administration is filled with conflicts of interest.
Link to source, please?
I’d say let her moderate, and let it be known that she has these conflicts of interest, and then nail Joe and her both with a bit of Jiu Jitsu, if PR is up to it. Use their coordinated attacks to undo them. It’ll do PR a great credit, that he knows how to handle himself in a brawl when he’s outnumbered, and them great discredit, that they tried to rig the debate and failed. The only thing worse than a corrupt forum is a corrupt forum moderated by a corrupt idiot. It all depends on how strong PR is in the ring.
PFL
We Should have her replaced with another Radditz...
Because even a cartoon charcter would be more impartial.
What it highlights is the incestuous relationship between the MSM and the Democratic-Party.
It isn't just a 21-year-old wedding of a classmate. This woman's husband is *currently* Obama's Chairman at the Federal Communications Commission.
Having a debate moderated by the wife of an Administration official is BS!
“The only thing worse than a corrupt forum is a corrupt forum moderated by a corrupt idiot. “
...and this is exactly the corrupt forum that existed when PR sat across from Obama himself at the hearing where he blasted him to his face! Ryan will do just fine facing Biden and the enemy moderator.
Odd, how many connections there are of the MSM to democrats/democrat party, yet both sides of the connections manage to retain their bias-free, objective viewpoints/reportage. (sarcasm) It is truly an incestuous relationship, maybe, in the end, there will be genetic damage and rightly so.
ABC has all the integrity of a street whore.... I think it's fair to assume Democrats will be provided with all questions 'chosen' for the event.
I suspect the boys at the New York Times don't think this is a story...
