I’m surprised that anyone would be surprised by this.
For those of you who still care about conservatism, more proof of the perfidy of Mitt Romney and what we have been warning people all along.
For those of you who still care about conservatism, more proof of the perfidy of Mitt Romney and what we have been warning people all along.
In the Piece Of Legislation That Had To Be Read After It Was Passed, there were a few sane-ish things such as allowing insurance to be shopped across state lines. That’s what Mitt is talking about here. This is also almost certainly going to get put in a new bill. The Gordian Knot we got needs to be not just cut but burned.
A lot of conservatives, and not-so-conservative ABO voters are going to get a face full of ice water right after inauguration day when Romney refuses to undo most of Obama's executive orders, and actually enforces them just the same.
And I can see him eventually upholding ALL of Obamacare. After all, he was the inspiration for it.
Romney: I’ll Keep Parts of Obamacare

Son of McLame.
Everyone calm down. The source here is Newsmax. Newsmax is not reliable.
I will vote for a three legged one eyed jack russell terrier before I vote for Obama. Amen!
If elected, if Obamaamy lets the votes be counted, the search for the replacement starts.
I know the dog, go ralphie!
Read my tagline.
Some “choice”—Øbamacare or Romneycare.
Romney is a liberal dem that put an “R” next to his name to get elected. Just look at his record.
Hey gringo, how about Bush's amnesty? Make America mucho proud.
What parts would he overturn?
What parts would he overturn?
Same-O same-O, Mitt: WE CAN’T AFFORD OBAMA/ROMNEY/RYAN/HILLY “care!”
Give us a reason to vote FOR you!
JUST SAY NO! TO OBAMA”CARE!”

“Throughout his campaign, Mitt Romney has constantly voiced one rock-solid promise: the repeal and replacement of Obamacare. This morning on NBCs Meet the Press, Mitt Romney was pressed about his plans for healthcare. During his answer, he said “Well, I’m not getting rid of all of healthcare reform.”
Voices from both ends of the spectrum have pounced on the line. The left (including most major media websites) claims he said hell keep parts of Obamacare intact. Meanwhile, the right is busy calling him a turncoat and sellout whos dumped his plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act. In reality, theyre both wrong.
If you listen past the soundbite, youll hear Romneys full intent.
Of course, there are a number of things that I like in healthcare reform that I’m going to put in place,” Romney said. “One is to make sure that those with pre-existing conditions can get coverage. Two is to assure that the market.”
The unmasking of Newsmax, as it joins the maimstream media in telling the story in a way where the headline will get the most readers, even if the details won’t.
The first part is as Newsmax and others put “Obamacare” in Romney’s mouth, which, even when discussing certain insurance provisions Romney does not do.
Romney never speaks of keeping any provision of Obamacare “as is”.
Romney spoke of two areas of health insurance “reform” that he too would seek to put in place.
“One is to make sure that those with pre-existing conditions can get coverage. Two is to assure that the marketplace allows for individuals to have policies that cover their family up to whatever age they might like.”
Notice that, in reference to “pre-existing conditions” Romney says “can get coverage” and unlike Obamacare he does not say “your employer’s plan must include it. No where does Romney say he supports how these parts of health insurance reform were addressed in Obamacare.
And there were Republican recommendations on both those conditions that were ignored by the Dims when they pushed through Obamacare, such as “high risk pools” to cover pre-existing conditions and three different “markeptplace” reforms that would broaden the ability to keep older children in “family” coverage of their parents.
But, it’s much easier to put the “Obamacare” word in Mr Romney’s mouth and to leave the image that even in this limited way Romney would enact the same things “as is” from Obamacare.
Yet, that is not what Mr Romney said.
I am NOT in agreement with socialized medicine and think it is WRONG. For many reasons, but mostly because of the disparity in care it will create. But, that's a big topic for another post.
Keep it up, Willard. Keep it up. Remember, even if you do get elected, we won’t hesitate to show up en masse at the Mall like we did in 2009...
I guess he is trying to keep me away from the voting booths
