Aglooka, an explanation: An Inuit name often given to European explorers in the Arctic. It means something along the lines of “long strides” thus signifying a tall person. Being very interested in the lost expedition of Sir John Franklin, (1845-1848, 49, 50?) I chose this name since one of the expedition’s officers introduced himself to local Inuit as “Aglooka.” None of the men would ever be seen alive again.
