Apparently there are videos being posted on the Web of people scolding an empty chair.
Comments about Eastwood’s performance:
Awesome idea. Turn it into an internet meme to counteract the libs comments on Eastwood.
Now, what Hollyweird Leftist Whackjob will do a similar feature at the Dem Coven?.............
It won’t be funny.
It won’t be nice.
It won’t be civil.
It won’t be Rated G..............
OMG! Yes!
#eastwooding needs to go viral!
This is good in the same way that Tebowing is good, because people eventually ask where the practice and name came from.
Decades from now, people will still be looking up and watching the original Eastwood speech, and thus its message (that Obama was a failure as president) will live on for generations.
I've been saying this on a number of posts this morning. Clint Eastwood opened the door to it being all right to openly criticize Obama, even to the point of ridicule. And I was thinking earlier, and this article makes me suspect it's true, even his appearance last night, the messed up hair, the sometimes stuttering approach, the supposed loss for words, it was one of the great political staged appearances I can remember. It was all an act. And the left has fallen for it, openly tweaking "dementia" in reference to his appearance.
Go ahead, media and you leftists. Make fools of yourselves.
I expect they will have to do it since the dems haven’t had an original idea in at least 3 years.
Taken to the ‘Eastwood shed’. Swiftboating. Eastwooding. Luv it...
Back in the ‘08 primary season when Obama began building momentum I repeatedly said that one of the main things bringing liberals and the media to his effort would be the ability to play the race card when anyone criticized or disagreed with him.
“This seat’s taken” will go down as one of the dumbest statements made by a politician ever.
1) It opens the door to all kinds of ridicule.
2) The underlying premise is that Obama somehow owns the seat—that it is his by right—instead of being on loan from the voters. You can’t “take” something that is on loan from another.
They did invent Borking.
They should make a video of Paul Ryan throwing an empty chair over a cliff :-)
The race card has become passe. It’s now used to discredit anything said against Obama, and the dems in general. Even referring to Chicago as Obama’s home is now considered racist, simply because of the population of Blacks living there. It’s absurd.
Eastwood opened the door. It’s OK to parody Obama. It’s OK if we decide to send him packing in November. We’re in charge. We voted him in. It’s OK to vote him out.
I think they should have had an empty suit in “Obama’s” chair...
Your second point is special. And beyond the permanency it implies, it unconsciously acknowledges the truth to Eastwood’s premise: We own the country. We own the White House. We own the CHAIR. It may be occupied now, but we’ll determine who the occupier is come November. And it’s all right now to openly criticize him, parody him, and ultimately oust him from office.
The empty chair was the empty suit. It wasn't hard to make the leap from the chair to the suit.
