.... sat unopened in a mailroom for as long as a week before its discovery Monday, a law enforcement source told FoxNews.com.

How convenient for the psychiatrist and the University of Colorado.

Union mail clerk was too busy smoking weed on his mandated break to do his job.

Guns don’t kill people, slow union postal mailrooms do.

Good thing he did not mail it to Eric Holder. It would never have been “found”.

he switched to a .40 Glock pistol and a .223 Smith & Wesson M&P semi-automatic with a high-capacity drum clip

OMG where to begin? A Smith and Wesson M&P semi-automatic WHAT? I have visions of a .40 caliber pistol with a drum magazine.

It's a MAGAZINE! NOT A CLIP! Good God you'd think they'd have a handle on the terminology by now.

And the drum mag controversy is false. All pictures shown in the media from the scene show an AR15 with a standard 20-rd magazine. There were no drum magazines found at the scene.

How does this pass for even marginal journalism? I know 8-year-old bloggers who have a better grasp on gun terminology.

James Holmes, the accused gunman

Golly, they're still not sure if he did it?

Doncha' just love the way these legalisms strangle us everyday. Guess they're still not sure if he had the weapon, nor if he was the one who actually used it.

Whom else do they have as a suspect?

Why would a harmless package be considered suspicious ??? That makes no sense. Betting this Prof knows a lot more than WE will ever know. Did this Professor get a phone call from Holmes? Was he “treating” “experimenting” with Holmes?? Is there “Hypnotism” involved?? Psycotic drugs?

I posted in the live thread of the massacre that the Perp probably had a ‘manifesto’ somewhere.

Usually, ‘smart’ people who commit these kinds of atrocities also write manifestos.

I wonder if anything sent to the psychiatrist would be inadmissible in court if Holmes was a patient?

I'm having a bit of "disconnect" with the article from Fox:

Exhibit A: Inside the package was a notebook full of details about how he was going to kill people,” the source told FoxNews.com. “There were drawings of what he was going to do in it -- drawings and illustrations of the massacre."

Among the images shown in the spiral-bound notebook’s pages were gun-wielding stick figures blowing away other stick figures.

Exhibit B: Agent Dave Joly, of the FBI’s Denver Division, declined to comment on the matter, citing a gag order issued Monday by Arapahoe County District Judge William Sylvester. Arapahoe County District Attorney Carol Chambers' office and Aurora police also could not comment due to the gag order.

Soomeone appears to be in contempt. Was this info allowed deliberately?

I'm surprised that no one has focused in on this little tidbit from the story:

According to Fox, “among the images shown in the spiral-bound notebook’s pages were gun-wielding stick figures blowing away other stick figures.”

Seems like an indication to me that someone else was involved in the plot.

Why does the media refer to James Holmes as the “accused gunman” and “suspect” but call Zimmerman “the man who killed Treyvon Martin?”

My husband is a university professor, and he rarely checks his mail. Maybe once every three months. Nothing important comes in the mail anymore.

I suspect the gag order is allowing the libs to spin their own narrative to argue for gun control
