"This is just so unprecedented and outrageous, that you have to ask the question, would the right-wing president be doing this if we had a white president there?" MSNBC guest and Democratic strategist Julian Epstein said on the channel this afternoon.
"I think it's a very important question because I think this is the first African-American president. We've never had a white president been told by the opposing party to shut up in the middle of a major address to the Congress. We've never had a president like this heckled so disrespectfully. We've never had this otherness afforded to any other president and I think the right wing has some explaining to do because to me it's patently obvious," he said.

Did Sam Donaldson heckle Ronald Reagan? Or are they saying RR wasn’t white? It’s hard to keep up with liberal delusions.
This whole Barbara Streisand is about to come to a head. Enough already.
Yes, a white president would be, and has been, heckled.
Never forget, it took a while before the Clintonheads allowed GWB to even move in.
Shoes thrown.
Mrs. Epstein’s little Juli needs to lighten up. His boy is okay and survived this unprecedented and outrageous “attack” by a “right-wing” reporter because he was “black”. No harm done.
I have a few rotten tomatoes I’d like to throw at Dear Leader King of the Dream Immigrants today ...
Had to goog Julian Epstein because I never heard of him and sure enough...I was not surprised.
So asking a question is now ‘heckling’?
When Sam Donaldson did this to Pres. Reagan, the liberal media had no problem with such ‘shout outs’. In fact, they closed ranks and treated Donaldson like a hero!
OMG - can you imagine 0zer0 having to put up with Sam Donaldson’s heckling?
You know it is hurting them if they’re pulling out the Race Card this early.
Romney has to to on showing Obama no deference or respect, because he has earned none.
During his eight years in office I doubt a day went by that he wasn't being criticized by the left. And, I am certain the constant and consistent anti-Bush drumbeat dumbed down any favorable feeling the population properly should have had about him.
First, define heckling.
If it is a question asked to clarify a point that has come up in the news conference, and the person at whom the question is directed does not wish to give an honest answer, does it become “heckling”?
Or is it loud catcalls and boos in response to an honest answer that the person asking the question does not want to hear?
No President is above having his motives called into question, if the motives seem not to be in agreement with the mood and/or the best interests of the country. Tin ears are not to be rewarded.
But conversely, if the motives are open and apparent to all, and in general agreement with the best interests of the country, not wanting to hear the answer is the sign that somebody wants to end the dialogue.
That shifts the whole dynamic of the interchange.
No a white president would have movies made about him being assasinated and having HBO put out a video game where the white president’s head is put on a pike.
Effing liberal mushhead hypocrites.
Could a white president ever get to play the race card as much as a black president has?
I'll be you those same folks wouldn't have "heckled" Allen West. Wonder why that would be?
The thing I detest most about liberals is their self-conveyed ability to read the minds and hearts of others.
I guess they weren't around during Reagan, were they?
MSNBC makes it clear they hate the constitution. Anyone that wants to slow down or stop the current dismantling of it, will be ridiculed and called racist.
The question should be “Would A White President Who Repeatedly Committed Treasonous Acts Be Allowed To Stay In Office?”
