ATLANTA (AP) Megachurch pastor and televangelist Creflo Dollar was arrested early Friday after authorities say he slightly hurt his 15-year-old daughter in a fight at his metro Atlanta home.
Fayette County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of domestic violence at the home in unincorporated Fayette County around 1 a.m., Investigator Brent Rowan said. The 50-year-old pastor and his daughter were arguing over whether she could go to a party when Dollar "got physical" with her, leaving her with "superficial injuries," Rowan said.
Dollar faces misdemeanor charges of simple battery and cruelty to children. He bonded out of Fayette County jail Friday morning. Dollar's lawyer Nikki Bonner said he's gathering information on the case and had no comment.

Are you kidding? I've raised four through their teens, including one who gave us plenty of trouble. Never did I want to choke any of them.
Have you ever listened to his television sermons? He explains the Word of God better than most pastors. This is very unfortunate. At this point I think it best to reserve judgment. The media is more than happy when an evangelist fails in any way.
More Dollars than sense.
Amen! He is one of the worst heretics out there with his “Word of Faith”, “Prosperity Gospel” teachings.
I remember once catching a couple of minutes of his “preaching” on TV, where he discussed Philippians 2 which speaks of, Christ, despite being in the form of God and equal with God, humbling Himself and “making Himself of no reputation”.
Dollar went on to explain that he was doing the same thing as the Lord. He said that he drove fancy cars and lived in big mansion (off the tithes and offerings of his gullible followers, and the fools who bought his books and tapes, of course) and as a result he had a bad reputation (basically as a greedy, charlatan). By his reasoning, he had “made himself of no reputation”, just like the Lord.
This might be the single greatest twisting of Scripture that I have ever heard, as it taught the exact, opposite of the meaning of the passage.
The wife’s name is Taffi.
The daughter’s name must be Halfa.
Every time I have watched this man preach, he has been pretty darn solid — which leads me to believe the may be a case where he is being targeted by the left. Be interesting to know if he parted ways with Obama on homosexual marriage. If so, of course, he would have to be punished by the mainstream media. Let’s not throw this guy to the wolves too soon.
Too bad that they could not have arrested him for peddling a false gospel!
Does this mean he can never again own a gun?
I've seen him on TV a few times and like how he speaks. With the few details we have here, we should not judge him about restraining a 15 year-old heading down the wrong path. Have some siblings who in their teen years insisted on partying, drinking, doing drugs, and running with the wrong crowd -and dared my parents to try and stop them. Made for some interesting evenings. Back in those days though, police were on the side of the parents.
I noticed that he was NOT charged with “domestic violence” which would have cost him his gun rights. He’s nearly as phony as Al Sharpton so I don’t care one way or the other myself.
And she probably deserved worse than that. (and don't presume I mean physical violence. Once a child has the ability to speak, physical punishment doesn't really work.)
FIRST, it has been my experience that CHILDREN of MINISTERS/PASTORS seem to be the most 'rebellious' children I've had the chance to know. They seem to be bent on violating ALL TEN COMMANDMENTS, and generate the need for some NEW commandments.
My guess is that the 'truth' to this story (the actual physical 'violence') is halfway between the story from Creflo and the story from his daughter.
IF I had to sit in judgement of the affair, I would certainly give more credence to Creflo's version than his daughter's version.
What CAUSED this 'fight' would be very interesting, however, it is none of our business, and truthfully, neither is the fight. But... our government thinks it knows how to raise our children better than we do.
I PRAY that Creflo's daughter lives long enough to find out how smart her father is, and how stupid she was being. (I know, it's a longshot, but as a Christian, I can hope)
OH... you are so correct. It would be much better if Creflo lived off the public dole, had children who were drug dealers and helped support his habit, and who attacked armed Neighborhood Watch Captains because they were consuming SLIZZURP and hated their mother for kicking them out and sending them to their father's girlfriend's home, where their father didn't really want them around either.
If his budget was $10 a year, how many people do you think he could help become more ‘CHRISTIAN’ instead of turning into MUSLIMS, or just angry blacks with no religion at all?
re: Anyone who has or has had a 15 yr old can completely understand this.......
While not condoning the choking, hitting, etc (if that is indeed what happened) I am sympathetic to any parent of a 15 year old daughter with an attitude, which this one certainly sounds like she has!
He’s one of the “best life now” and “name it and claim it” Christian shamanism guys, isn’t he?
The “prosperity Gospel” interpretation of scripture is a source of many people coming to think they are not gaining “success” because they lack “faith” or are not practicing their Christian faith correctly - because (and quite simply) if you were, you would be “successful”.
Someone how I don’t think G-d measures “success” by human standards.

You must be a saint or your kids were.
He does give good sermons? I watch him preach on TV once and a while and he does a real good job explaining the Bible. He keeps it interesting and makes it easy to understand. I could see why he rakes in so many dollars.
Yeah, I’ve watched his sermons. He said “ God wants me to have those (muti-million dollar) jets!”
NOOOOOOOO, God wants you to be poor and humble. He wants you to sell your houses, planes, and stuff, and follow Him.
Why should you have million dollar homes and jets while children are STARVING? What do you think Jesus will think about that?
This guy is a shyster. Con artist. Man of God???? Ha ha ha.
I hope he goes to jail.
Satan knows the bible very well too.
