New Mosque in the Heart of Large US Jewish Neighborhood

A Muslim movement has bought a posh house in the heart of a large upscale Jewish neighborhood in Baltimore, whose main artery is known as “Synagogue Row.” The Muslim sect is considered to be pacifist and at the opposite end of Islam extremism.

Located on the edge of Pikesville – synonymous with “Jewish” – the Colonial-style house known as “Slade Mansion” was sold for $900,000 to the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Baltimore’s Jewish population is unusual in that it is almost totally contiguous despite its size of an estimate 100,000 Jews. It stretches for miles and comprises one of the country’s largest orthodox Jewish concentrations as well as a large reform and Conservative Jewish population.

The new mosque has raised eyebrows but has set off only polite concern, while the nearby Reform Baltimore Hebrew Congregation said it has put out the welcome mat for its new Muslim neighbors. The temple, one of the city’s oldest, promotes interfaith and pluralism, and it members include many Jews who have married outside of the faith.

Dozens of Orthodox synagogues and “shtiebels” are located in the same area, which also hosts the Seven-Mile Market, one of the largest kosher markets in the United States.

The Ahmadiyya sect, founded in India, has said it is persecuted in other parts of the world and was looking for a larger place for a mosque.

Art Abramson, executive director of the Baltimore Jewish Council, told the Sun that a "small segment" of the community has expressed fear about the mosque, and he added, "I've always believed that fear is based upon ignorance. What they knew of [Islam] was based on 9/11 and beyond."

Muslims, confident in the fact that their complicit partners in the media, bolstered by the fact that the first Black President is also a Muslim, are now strutting their balls down the street. This time, however, Jews will not be afforded the illusory pretense of sewing a Star of David on their clothing. They will just be erased.

Right.

Find the GREEDY Real Estate Agent (s) who sold them the property then bring them forward and make them explain why they sold out to the enemy....a force so determined to obliterate all religion in America except Islam.

I don’t think this will bother the Jews of Pikesville — they are happily riding around in BMWs and Mercedes, and voting for Obammy.

Liberals said it was OK.

Problem, Jewish-Americans?

Honest question, what does that have to do with America and the Constitution?

Seems to me if the community has no issues and the people follow the law and construction guidelines, there shouldn’t be an issue

Say it is 1933 and I found a “religion” and call it National Socialism (NAZI).

And I want to build a temple right in the middle of this jewish neighborhood. And for grins my religion demands that I replace the US Constitution with something called sharia law.

Does my religion qualify for protection?

The US Constitution is not a suicide pact.

There actually are a few such sects. Google “Abdul Palazzi” - he’s about the closest thing around to a Muslim Martin Luther.

But that religion doesn’t call for replacing the Consitution.

In fact its pretty clear on “not breaking covenanants”

Hell, even that evil bastard Osmama Bin Laden agrees with “not breaking covenants”

http://www.loonwatch.com/2012/06/even-obl-admitted-that-homegrown-terrorism-is-un-islamic-what-the-bin-laden-letters-reveal/

“If [your coreligionists] ask for your aid in religion, then you must help them, except against people with whom you have covenants with.” (Quran, 8:72)

“Perhaps you monitored the trial of brother Faysal Shahzad. In it he was asked about the oath that he took when he got American citizenship. And he responded by saying that he lied. You should know that it is not permissible in Islam to betray trust and break a covenant. Perhaps the brother was not aware of this. Please ask the brothers in Taliban Pakistan to explain this point to their members. In one of the pictures, brother Faysal Shahzad was with commander Mahsud; please find out if Mahsud knows that getting the American citizenship requires talking an oath to not harm America. This is a very important matter because we do not want al-Mujahidin to be accused of breaking a covenant.”

The Nazi analogy is a major stretch

What a crack-up! So another words Islam is not a religion of peace at all huh. Who knew? As thrives Islam in the United States, so goes the nation in the opposite direction.

Hardly.

Both religions require the death and/or enslavement of infidels.
Both religions are spread by war and violence
Both religions require absolutely loyalty
Both religions prohibited by death and criticism or questioning of their religions

Shall I go on?

And please google the word - Taqiyya - yes, it is OK to lie to an infidel.

Palazzi is an interesting one. He’s essentially a Muslim Zionist, and describes himself as one.

Frankly, the Ahmadiyyah Movement is nothing to get up-in-arms about. They are genuinely persecuted by Wahabbis, and they are pacifists, opposed to radicalism and extremism.

When the Ahmadiyyah or Sufis set up a mosque, it’s nothing to worry about. They tend to be a better class than their co-religionists. On the street I lived in Berlin, there was a Sufi Center downstairs. Really nice folks, actually, and from time to time, I’d go sit in and listen to the dhkir and watch the dervishes do their dervish thing, which was really cool. And good eats afterward!

If all Muslims were like the Ahmadiyyah and the Sufis, the Middle East (and the world) would be a far, far better place.

Modern times now, not 1000 years ago. These 2 religions are far from equal.

Imagine if some Jews bought a large house in the heart of Dearborn and tried to turn it into a Synagogue.

Well, seeing as how the Federal government has banned any attempts to prevent the sale of property based on ethnicity or religious grounds, I don’t think you can rightfully blame the Realtor on this one. Their hands are tied.
