CHICAGO President Obama is back in his adopted hometown tonight for three campaign fundraisers and an overnight stay (sans family) in his private home on the citys South Side.
Its good to be back home. Im sleeping in my bed tonight. Im going to go to my kitchen and might cook something. Putter in my backyard, Obama joked before a crowd of 350 donors at the Chicago Cultural Center. The White House is nice, but Im just leasing.
Obama said he wants to extend that lease for another four years, and argued that voters in November will need to weigh a stark choice before giving him the opportunity.
The choice in this election will be between a vision that didnt work in 2000-2008. Didnt work before the Great Depression. The Gilded Age. Weve seen this philosophy before. But usually weve come to our senses. We see thats not how democracy is built.
Thats the vision were going to have to confront and address in this election, he said. The good news is when you cut through the noise and just ask people, most people agree with us.
Obama acknowledged, as he did earlier in the day, that todays jobs report left much to be desired, attributing the lackluster numbers to the European debt crisis.
We saw that in todays job report. A lot of that is attributed to Europe, the cloud coming over the Atlantic. The world economy has been weakened by it, but beyond that we still know too many friends, family out of work. Too many people struggling to pay bills, he said.

Probably a stop by his old haunt “Man’s Country” to meet up with Rahm to get a steam and anything hard that comes up....
Is he alone?
I can only think of one or two other times that he’s gone ‘home to Chicago’ since 2008.
Mighty big house to stand empty.
Hard to make a hole in one with a putter.
Just sayin'.
It by putter he means something other than yard work, he is our first gay President. Could he sound more gay if he tried? And according to the courts that is no longer an insult. Furthermore there was no intent to insult, just to describe.
Ya want private enterprise to bloom? Sell the public in Chicago something they can use. Due to the high number of shootings, I’d say some sort of kevlar or BP resistant clothing line would probably do quite well.
I was about to post the same thing. It seems the media is ignoring the many rumours that 0 and Rham the rammer were members in the same Chicago gay bath house.
Man’s Country excursion with Rahm......you beat me.
Like we care. How many here think he has ever sawed tree limbs or even fixed a sprinkler line in his entire life?
Just going to say...Lordy, another Obama garden!!?? But bet this one is growing some weed, not healthy veggies.
sleep, watch espn, do some blow.
Putter in HIS back yard?
He means putter in Rezko’s back yard since his felon buddy bought most of it in a sweet deal to gain influence the Chicago way.

orale!
another night without Michelle
hmmm hmmm hmmm
How long since he’s been there? There must be three inches of dust on everything! If I hadn’t been “home” to my “home” in that long, I would want to spend some time, cleaning everything, making it right, then spending a couple nights quietly sleeping there. (Of course, if I were a man, it would never be right if my wife weren’t there. It is, after all, her home, too.)
Obama: We saw that in todays job report. A lot of that is attributed to Europe, the cloud coming over the Atlantic...”
It’s Bush;
It’s greedy corporations and the 1% holding on to their wealth;
It’s the hangover from Japan’s tsunami/earthquake;
It’s high gas prices caused by greedy Big Oil and people creating more demand by not checking the air pressure in their tires often enough;
It’s stubborn Republicans in Congress not passing my latest stimulus/jobs bill and other great stuff I propose to them;
No! Here it is! It’s, it’s that pesky dark cloud coming over the Atlantic. Yeah, that’s the ticket!
No more questions now. I’ve got to get to my sixth fundraiser of the day and, uh, I’m frankly tired of these silly questions.
I'm sure he hired all of the above out to young, sweaty men and sipped a lovely iced coffee on his back deck ogling them as they worked....muscles rippling.....
I wish I was kidding.
