Hate to say it but this time Sarah’s wrong. Hatch is past his time and needs to go!

That’s interesting. Still not voting for him though.

Mark Levin endorsed him, too, based on Hatch’s solid advocacy of conservative judges.

Sarah Palin has just announced that she is endorsing Sen. Orrin Hatch

Even Sarah Palin makes mistakes.

Let me be the first to say it . . .

“Sarah is a RINO GOPe!”

But seriously, I’m disappointed that she endorsed Hatch over Liljenquist (sp?). Liljenquist already was an underdog, but with Sarah endorsing Hatch, I don’t think the primary will be very close.

I’d prefer some ‘new blood’ take over that Senate seat. That said, Hatch has never really descended to the RINO levels of Lugar, Graham, the Maine twins, and such. In fact, he used to be quite a conservative stalwart; one of the really good guys. But at his advanced age and losing his edge, I’d more likely opt for a solid Tea Party firebrand who could shake things up.

I suppose Hatch’s credentials still stacked up highly enough for Palin, plus I think he’s always been pretty respectful of her, unlike so many GOP-e cretins. I was actually expecting her to buck her anti-establishment/underdog trend this particular time and go for Hatch, so it wasn’t much of a suprise to me.

Hatch is right next to McCain in phony conservatism. All I know is that he stated and it was well know that his best friend in the Senate was Ted Kennedy. Now that is enough to bring up breakfast, lunch and dinner. His approval of judges in general is an abomination. Sarah just shocked, disappointed and saddened me. She's through in my books. I thought there was hope.
Aside from Sarah and Orin I think the best thing I've read was the Kentucky Democratic Primary. Obama = 60%, UNcommitted = 40%. It's better than the convict getting 41% in another primary against Obama. Like I said many times, the landslide is going to be monumental.

Good. Let this be one of many indications that people should make their minds up for themselves. If they research Sen. Hatch as well as his primary opponent and they find Hatch the better candidate, they should vote for him. I don’t discount the endorsement of Sarah Palin (or other prominent conservatives) as a means of attracting publicity for a candidate, but I think the less we look to kingmakers in the process to winnow down our candidates, the better.

Three people whose voices I trust most on these matters are Palin, Mark Levin, and Michelle Malkin. Palin/Levin are going with Hatch; Malkin is staunchly against him.

Seems a bit of a wash. I still prefer just the element of sweeping in some new blood, just because. I’m curious what the really egregious deviations from conservatism that Hatch has made in recent years. He used to be really solid and dependable, but that was admittedly quite a number of years ago. Guess folks from Utah are better versed, and it would be a similar situation if I went into my disappointment in John Cornyn, who started out great, but has been losing his way ever since.

Anyway, it doesn’t remotely tarnish my high regards for Palin or Levin. Their arguments appear valid, even if I lean more towards replacing Hatch.

Going Ann Colter on us?

“Booby” Hatch has been a loose cannon for far too long, time for him to go!
