So the kid picks up a toy gun from the school's own drama department's props and he is punished.

California or New Jersey, I could see this, but not in deep East Texas.

When I grew up gun racks in the pickup were for guns. We carried them all the time. We even traded guns in school. Never thought a thing of it. Even bought and sold from teachers as late as 1985.

We hunted after school before we even went home.

The world has changed beyond my ability to absorb it these last 15 years.

Look, it doesn’t matter any longer WHAT part of this country you live in: it’s about the educrats, NOT the culture of a particular region.

They’re libtards, they’re stupid, they are typically the ones who were fighting for bottom-of-the-class positions in college with the journalism majors, and they have as much common sense as yer average avocado.

Time to gut the NEA and take education back in this country. The inmates are running the asylum(s).

Every single moron involved in this should be fired, any accrued pension revoked, and every one should be permanently barred from govt employment.

Yeah, this is totally insane.

There was no “crime” to punish, much less one that makes any sense. A school infraction should be punished-where its needed- in the school.

a teacher ran up and grabbed my arm," says Tindol.

Sounds like he was assaulted to me.

School Administration = last refuge for despots.

“Zero tolerance” = zero common sense = no discretion = the envy of the Soviet Gulag.

We had a one hour lockdown at my high school and it turned out to be a drama class prop. Last week the middle school across the street had a lockdown because a student saw a strange man with a gun. It turned out to be the armour car company’s employee picking up the cafeteria’s money.

It is in REALLY DEEP east Texas.

Thangs be a little different there.

If they make enough noise the school will knock it off, maybe...

I would send my kids to school with a picture of a teacher being shot by invading Russian paratroopers such as from Red Dawn.

Its the parents job to re-school their kids of the wrong training from most schools.

His parents should turn around and sue the school district for making that “weapon” available to their son.

Turning it back on the libtards is the only way to fight this madness.

The Center, Texas school board told Tindol that he would not be allowed to go to prom because of this and another incident that happened in October.

I think we'd better withhold judgement on what's going on until we find out what happened in October....

Government schools are government schools no matter where they are located.
Once a school takes federal dollars the federal government is in control and the parents are not..........
