No link yet. I'm just seeing it on CNN. Reuters said Fox called it as well.

Well, the Romneybots signed up on this forum who have kept their heads low, but then ramped it up and endlessly bashed Rick Santorum, said they were for Gingrich (but rarely posted anything positive for him), I suppose can all come out of the woodwork now on FREE REPUBLIC and start making this place ROMNEY-LAND.

Here's your chance, RINO sleepers! Hope you are happy with yourselves.

via WLS “Quotes from Illinois Primary Voters”:

“If a frog was running against Obama, I’d vote for the frog.” - Richard Zellers, 66, retiree from St. Joseph who voted for former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.

“That was a tough one.” - Michelle Miller, 42, mother of two children from Columbia who voted for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

“I don’t care for Romney. I don’t think he connects with people.” - Gary Lutes, 63, Rockford insurance agent who voted for Santorum.

“The problem is that Romney is a little too liberal for the Republican base. But that’s the only way you can win. You’ve got to get the independents.” - Norm Jay, 78, from Wheaton who voted for Romney.

“I like what Ron Paul has to say, his idea that government can be more simple, less intrusive.” - Darrell Hart, 61, retiree from St. Joseph who voted for Texas Rep. Ron Paul.

“I voted for Newt Gingrich. I think he’s a good leader. I like his ideas and I think that he has experience he can implement and make a difference.” - Mark Plunkett, 52, real estate agent from Wheaton who voted for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

“Romney’s a shoo-in for the Republican nomination no matter what. And I think Obama will beat Romney no matter what I do. So why vote?” - Jeff Wellman, 36, accountant who works in Chicago.

Millions spent to promote Willard (aka, Romney-the-RINO), and in IL, if you carry the Liberals in the Northern area (including Chicago), your lead won't be overcome by the common sense people scattered in the southern areas, and suburbia.

This is typical of how the Liberal RINO's win; they can't carry the Conservative voters, they carry the parasites.

If I recall correctly, Santorum was not on the ballot in six congressional districts in IL.

Come on. Be honest. You don’t believe that Santorum bears any responsibility in this?

I am not a big fan of Romney but am now ready to crawl across broken glass to vote for him. The longer Republicans spend time talking about birth control instead of the economy and our debt, the more likely obama is to be reelected. These primaries need to end.

I agree. I am very suspicious of people who went from thread to thread every day simply bashing Santorum. Some attacked him with such fervor that it’s as if he did something personal to them. They claimed they supported Gingrich, but Gingrich is conservative, so why bash a conservative man like Santorum just because he was doing better in the polls?

Santorum failed to qualify for delegates in four of Illinois’ 18 congressional districts, meaning he is only eligible to win 44 of the state’s 54 delegates.

That pretty much says it all.

You don’t believe that Santorum bears any responsibility in this?

As the candidate he does, as does the MSM, as does the Romney campaign who have run an epically negative campaign so far, as does the establishment GOP supporting Romney.

As do all the political neophytes who spent the last couple of months bashing him at every turn on internet forums. They're doing their little part, too.

At least my conscience is clean.

Instead of whining, why don't you name names? Accuse them directly of being a Romney-bot.

Not a surprise that liberal/”moderate” Romney won in the state that elected Obama.

Bret Baier just said Santorum failed to qualify in 10 districts.
