True, BUT Odds?

House burning down vs hard drive crashing

1,000,000 to 1

How many here on FR have ever had a hard drive crash? EVERYONE! Who has had their house burn down? Not too many.

I have no statistics to back up these claims. Only common sense.

What is wrong with sending a message to a company whose policy is undermining freedom of speech in America? You would have told George Washington not to stoop to the level of the redcoats by taking up arms.

These same companies don’t pull their advertising from leftist programs whose talking heads use derogatory terms for conservatives.

Call them if you want or email them if you want and it may or may not get their attention. Or do what I suggest and they WILL get the message.

"I use mozy.com. They offer the same thing."

Thanks for the info:
I have some time left on my account. I plan to use the first one that advertises on RUSH as long as their price is in line with my broke A$$.

And they have *benefited* from his personal endorsements. [Oh well] I’d be very worried if Rush actually used them...and they have control over his history....think about how much wiki-leaks/Julian Assand would pay for that! Oi!

"I posted some of their cheaper competitors on their own Facebook Wall last night."
I dropped Mozy when my backup charge would have gone to $250+/year from $60/year.

What others are out there other than Carbonite? Thanks in advance - I did check FB but maybe didn't find the right one ... I'm a bit FB challenged ... ;-)

“I wanted to get Mozy up first. Is that one of the better ones to use?”

Carbonite and Mozy will both destroy your PC performance. Mozy also use to crash explorer.exe.

Both are crap. Both are crap solutions for backing up your PC.

Go to newegg.com or amazon.com or even bestbuy and buy a western digital passport Elements (not Essentials), and just drag your folders onto it when you want to backup.

calling them, emailing them is a lot different (and better)than putting thousands in a shopping cart for fun and then cancelling. I was referring to playing with the shopping cart.

“ProFlowers”

I’ve long hated that company. I made the mistake of buying flowers from them years ago:

1. They were not remotely as advertised

2. I’ve been relentlessly spammed by their crap ever since, even after demanding I get off their list.

I prefer "Fluck."

I think I will call her that.

I hereby give her a name-pronunciation change operation.

They are a lot cheaper than the sex-change operation she wants.

I hope many do call. I expected it to take most of the day, but the longest I was on hold was with LegalZoom, and it wasn't that long. Do it in Andy's name!

Crashplan.com Free usage if you are just backing up to another computer (including ones outside your home). You can replicate Mozy and Carbonite by paying them to backup to Crash Plan's cloud.

The service is encrypted, fun to use and you are sticking it to Carbonite without taking in in your own wallet. I don't see Mozy scrambling to fill Carbonite's spot on Rush, so just go free with crashPlan.com

In my neck of the woods (Colorado), I’ve found State Farm to be the best bet. Allstate and Farmers both suck. Progressive is expensive due to the billions they spend on TV ads.
