STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Staten Island's female elected officials from both sides of the aisle are demanding that conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh "apologize to all women" for calling a Georgetown University Law student a "slut" on his program.
Limbaugh caused a national firestorm when he used the word after Sandra Fluke testified before Congress about the need for contraceptive coverage.
"What does it say about the college coed ... who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex?" Limbaugh said on Wednesday. "It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex."
He went on to suggest that Ms. Fluke distribute sex tapes of herself.
"If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it," he said. "We want you post the videos online so we can all watch."
The remarks brought swift, bi-partisan condemnation in Washington, with President Barack Obama, who called Ms. Fluke personally, and GOP House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), slamming Limbaugh.
The Island's elected women -- state Sen. Diane Savino (D-North Shore/Brooklyn), Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-East Shore/Brooklyn) and City Councilwoman Debi Rose (D-North Shore) -- called Limbaugh's remarks "disgusting" and said they were made all the worse because March is Women's History Month.
"It does not matter if your hero is Eleanor Roosevelt or Margaret Thatcher," said Ms. Savino, "this is about treating women with dignity and respect. If Mr. Limbaugh cannot find it in his conscience to apologize, his fans and advertisers should demand that he does."

Yep. That's how I gauge what's good for America or not. If the liberals are foaming at the mouth with hate and vitriol, something must be good for America. If the liberals are happy and glowing with the spirit of their version of bi-partisanship, I know we just got screwed.

Also, do you realize where this is going? Included in her future billable activities will be her sexual intercourse (not with client) in order to pass the cost of her fancy gold plated IUD onto her clients.

She says she spends $1000 annually on birth control. Really? Wow! What does she use? Diaphram? The pill? What?
Assuming condoms, a person could purchase a package of 10 for around $10. 1000 divided by 12 means she is spending approximately $83 per month for condoms. That is 80 condoms! Busy woman!
Now, assuming that each encounter averages 20 minutes that means 80 hours of her month, she has set aside for encounters. Twenty hours a week, when does she have time to study?
She fits the standard dictionary definition of “slut”, imho.
Great. Maybe *she* can tell us where the real birth certificate is.

The lyrics to your typical rap song are far more disrespectful to women than anything Rush said.
Rush aimed his comments at one woman in particular. Rap songs target women in general.

Relax, my point was to describe the media meme that was created by the MSM and used by Obama to discredit conservatives and distract the country from the real news and real problems for the three-day news cycle, all because Rush unwisely gave them an opening. You are not supposed to give your opponent ammo in a propoganda war.

All that too. But when I mention how easily the media can take something off-color from the self-proclaimed leader of the republican party, and use against conservatives - some posters seem to think I myself was agreeing with the MSM-created narrative and interpretation.

I disagree, Flukes testimony was so contrived and unintentionally facetious, this is exactly what she deserves. Opprobrium and scorn heaped high, from every side. Rush should double down on it, because it will go over the heads of the media and resonate with normal people who have more common sense.
The more we ignore the lefts inanity, the more we will get. Rip their guts out. Make them own their asinine, deluded rationalizations.
Rush is 100% on the mark in his analogy.
