The Los Angeles County coroner's office will review the death of conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart, who collapsed and died Thursday while taking a nighttime walk near his Westwood home.
Given his young age -- he was 43 -- and the unexpected manner in which he died, authorities will conduct an autopsy to help determine a specific cause of death.
Breitbart's father-in-law, actor Orson Bean, said in an interview with The Times that Breitbart was found collapsed near his home about 12:30 a.m. Paramedics took him to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, but doctors were unable to revive him.
"We're devastated. I loved him like a son," Bean said. "It looks like a heart attack, but no one knows until" an autopsy is done.

At 45 I had a severe blockage in my circumflex coronary artery. I had run 8 miles that day. That night I got what I thought was a severe case of heartburn and went for a walk. On the walk I got this feeling of doom and had my wife take me to the hospital. That was 15 years ago.
Maybe they can burn the morgue to the ground......: )

I know this happens....it has happened to people that I know
as well. But when someone as dangerous to the “gangster left” drops dead, I want to know why.
Ugh, I thought he died in his home. Out and about and then dead. Doesn’t exactly have me totally believing “natural causes.”

Natural heart attacks do happen, but so do political murders.
I recommend that someone check AB’s body for punctures (death by air-injection embolism) and taser marks.
Also test for prussic acid. Cyanide aerosols were one of the infamous Ice Man’s favored assassination techniques. They memorably appeared in film in the thriller “The International”
I knew a guy whose male members of his family tended to drop dead at 50. Sure enough, he hit 50 and dropped dead. It can be as simple as that.
Reports on FoxNews today were that he didn’t get a lot of sleep most nights. Four hours or so seemed to be the norm. He had documented heart problems from what they were saying.
I personally believe the lack of sleep can contribute to a situation where your body isn’t functioning at optimum when it comes to the brain’s bodily maintenance functions. Your nerves and brain related control functions suffer. You internal electrical system is much more likely to fail.
This is personal conjecture, but I don’t think it’s out of line.
I’m thinking it was natural causes, but I do want to see a determination made. I do support a family effort separate from the local coroner.
i. What was he doing visiting those two? Without a gun and an arrest warrant, that is?
ii. If they put something in his food and it just now took effect, then a) it's a long-acting agent and b) it's a persistent agent, and so therefore c) it should be detectable by honest examination.

Two, public opinion is a powerful tool to constrain the driven and the ruthless. Remove the suspicious watching and watchers, and these people will go around poisoning people as if they were the Viscontis or the Borgias. These are not nice people.

Yes, he did have a known heart condition, and was on heart medications.

Andrew was Jewish. If he was Orthodox, he would have been guarded from asap after his death by an Orthodox Jewish doctor and then the Jewish Burial Society, the Chevra Kadisha, would take over to ensure that his body was not mutilated in any way. If an autopsy is necessary, they would be right there to make sure that only the minimum damage was done to the body. If true, he is in the best hands possible and they will not rest until the exact cause of death is known.
I am in shock, but hope with all my heart that they are the ones in charge here so there can be no coverup. The Chevra Kadisha are very powerful, especially in CA, and like pit bulls when it comes to one of their own.
Having just been through a near death experience of my own, it has been a curiousity to me why some outspoken Conservatives have been experiencing these types of sudden death or near death situations. Others seem to have gone 180 degrees from their stated, long time principles until they are almost unrecognizable. Andy Breitbart has just been one of the most prominent. But there is Drudge and Coulter who seem to have forfeited ALL of their Conservative principles. Something is going on that is just not right.
