A better analogy is "If you hire a hitman to kill someone, are you absolved of the murder?".
I can agree with your analogy, except, I am speaking from the churches perspective on the moral issue - not the legal issue. This "accommodation" does not change the fact that their money is going to kill unborn babies and it undermines their religious moral values and religious beliefs and more importantly it stands STARK NAKED in the way of "...the free exercise thereof...!"

Yep, somehow that “...or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...” always gets tossed by the wayside.

That is true.
The other thing that is extremely unnerving about this is that the government is essentially setting up a government-funded, involuntary population control plan. They will run it through Planned Parenthood, and not directly (at least at the beginning), but essentially we are seeing the start of a government administered population control plan that everyone must participate in through mandatory “insurance.”

Mark my words! If this is allowed to stand and Obama gets reelected, doctors will be FORCED via MANDATE to strongly recommend, attempt to convince, automatically prescribe - PRACTICALLY FORCE - every woman onto some sort of birth control; after all, it is free and available, so it would be in your best interest to use it!
Obamacare is about CONTROL; NOTHING ELSE! And Democrats and all their environmental nuts think of HUMANS as the blight and scourge on this planet!

Or more likely they will ban the too expensive life saving procedures that are denying poor women contraceptives. This week two threads here on FR are prime examples of your statement:
The British NHS
Girls as young as 13 have been fitted with contraceptive implants at school without their parents knowing.

.
But not the money for a 72 year old woman who may die within minutes.

Islamic Insurance

This is shared cooperative insurance, or ‘takaful.’
I hope someone is reading up on this. Taking the argument away from faith and putting it into insurance companies’ hands emphasizes the Shari’a compliant, financial nature of 0bama Deathcare.
This isn’t about faith or Catholocism or ‘Women’s rights’ (abortion is almost always prohibited in Islam). This is about pushing Americans into Shari’a compliance period. Submit! AKA Islam
US Constitution be dam#ed...right? Wait a minite; didn’t Jeremiah Wright say something like that?

Definition of Takaful A type of Islamic insurance
The one that uses that goofy cashier in a burqua in their ads?
To: Buckeye McFrog
LOL.
No. It’s a principle/concept in islam, due to having insurance per se as being prohibited. Shared, cooperative insurance (sound familiar?) to minimize risk.
Also see prohibitions for most abortions, all vasectomies, almost all hysterectomies and birth control.

So -— I’m a little slow on the uptake -— the way the law now stands, the only way to get out of paying for contraceptions-sterilization-abortion drugs through your premium, is to purchase sharia-compliant insurance?

No, no, the opposite. 0bamacare also complies with Shari’a. The question for muslims will be whether muslims will be exempt.

I heard the head of the USCCB on Fox and Friends this AM, and he explained precisely why this "compromise," as currently understood, is immoral and unacceptable.
But the bishops are in a tough position. They're stuck to this tarbaby now. And it will be nearly impossible to win the PR war.
F&F framed the issue as, "Obama has offered a compromise; is this acceptable to you?" In the best case scenario, the bishops will reject the compromise. But do they ask priests to read another letter to their parishioners this week? And then again after the next pseudo-compromise?
We're going to die a death of a million cuts, unless the bishops demand the repeal of Obamacare, and that seems highly unlikely.
I pray that God will get us out of this mess. Obama's evil, but not stupid. He's good at one thing --subversion. And he's got the devil on his side. Our best weapon against him is prayer.

Unlike Sharia, if Catholics hire all Catholics, and only serve all Catholics, hello ACLU.

How about this. The Catholic hospitals either succumb, or try to do the moral thing by dropping health coverage for their employees altogether. Either way O wins.
O needs a crisis, what better than to have private employers and now religious employers forced to drop health coverage. I think the admin was hoping more employers would be so confused by the two thousand pages, that they would have dropped their employees to the mercy of the state. O is just trying to speed up the collapse of private health insurance. The religious front is just another flanking maneuver.
