HEADS UP CPAC 2012 - Occupiers and Unions to Protest There
Keep your powder dry at CPAC this week and be ready. From past experience, when the anarchists know there will be push back, they change their plans.
In Oakland this past week the cowardly occupiers occupied places where they knew the police were not going to be around. Of course the police finally caught up to them and arrested 400.
If anyone has a good contact with the Metro police, you might give them a heads up. And let the Marriott and Omni hotels know that they may have unwanted people floating around making trouble. It is bad enough the paulbots are around, now we have these idiots.
From Twitter and with links:
You'd be wise to keep a cool head if you're going to CPAC. From the D.C. AFL-CIO:
Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)With workshops like Return of Big Labor: What Can We Learn from Wisconsin & Ohio, and Taking back Wall Street: The Tea Party vs. Occupy Wall Street, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) descends on the nations capital February 9-11 and local labor activists are planning a DC lesson to ensure that the voice of the 99% are heard at this elite conservative gathering. Actions are currently being planned for noontime and after work on Friday, February 10. Featured speakers at CPAC include Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, and presidential candidates Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum.
You may remember what the union-aided Occupiers managed to do at the D.C. conference center in November. When conservatives staged a conference there, they banged on the windows, physically harmed at least one old woman, blocked local traffic, and used children as human shields. Much of the action was caught on tape.
The AFL-CIO is planning a disruption of some sort at noon Friday and another at 5 p.m.
Here are some details about the event that AFL-CIO plans for noon: Where Marriott Wardman Park Hotel (2600 Woodley Rd at Connecticut Ave NW) When Feb 10 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm What do Wisconsin Governor SCOTT WALKER, presidential candidates MITT ROMNEY, NEWT GINGRICH, RICK SANTORUM and House Budget Committee Chair PAUL RYAN have in common?
They all represent the greed of the wealthy 1% and theyll all be at the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference.
WEVE HEARD ENOUGH FROM THE 1%! Join the rally featuring tents, an inflatable fat cat, puppets, candidate Walmart, and more to LET THE VOICES OF THE 99% BE HEARD!
Friday, February 10, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel (2600 Woodley Rd at Connecticut Ave NW), by the Woodley Park Metro Station
Coordinated by the Metro Washington Council AFL-CIO
Their work habits are not even worth the scape metal’s worth of a can of beer. I would rather give them a bar of Lava soap. And that would probably be a useless expense.
Luckily Rand is not a carbon copy of his father. This acorn missed have bounced away from the tree.
Have a safe trip up here. Bring some warmer weather when you come. 3DJoy brought some real nice weather in December. Even 50 degrees is chilly.
He ought to use the occasion to trash the BISHOP FROM PLANET KOLOB.
Just can't afford it.
PS: Tell Laura I love her.
I was about 10 yards from Rush when he keynoted a few years ago. Amazing experience, will never forget that.
I think they have tickets for just one day available. Sorry you can’t make it.
Glad to know you will be taking them some of our nice weather. We are waiting for some rain to pass and then back to 78-80 degree days again.
I hope you are taking them at least the 70 or more degrees of the past week! LOL
Have fun all and we will be watching for your reports.
I believe Sarah Palin will be there too. Glenn Beck said they are going to have cameras there to film anything OWS starts.

Oh man... we’ll be at CPAC. Thanks for the heads up, trooprally!
There’s Sat. only tickets available. Sarah is speaking that day. I’m kinda looking forward to Coulter’s speech...or should I clarify, the reception she’s going to get. Surprised she’s even showing up.
The Paulbots were absolute jerks last year, ivading the balcony outside bloggers row, booing people and calling Rumsfeld a war criminal. Good riddance to them all.
I was checking the schedule yesterday. Im wondering if some, especially FReepers, wont bother to attend any events in which Ann participates. Here are the events I found in which Ann will be participating:
Thurs - 11 a.m.: Fire From the Heartland: The Awakening of the Conservative Woman CPAC Theater
Starring: The Honorable Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Ann Coulter, and an all-star cast.
Live introduction by Director Stephen Bannon and cast member Sonnie Johnson
Fri - 11:50 a.m.: Ann Coulter, Best-Selling Author, Legal Correspondent for Human Events Marriott Ballroom
Fri - 12:30: Demonic: How the Liberal Mob is Endangering America Conservative Book Nook
Book signing with Author Ann Coulter
Open to all CPAC attendees in Exhibit Hall B
Romneys speech is Fri at 12:55 - looks like Ann may be signing books and miss the Mittsters speach.
See my post#28. I did have respect for Coulter, but her complete flip-flop concerning Mitt Romney makes me really question her agenda!
Like I said, when she is speaking it will be a good break time for me!
I thought one could choose the day for a one day ticket, but I understand why they would make it for Saturday.
Tyranny silences its opponents.
Yep, Obmabi and his SEIU thugs are well on their way.
If one has a safe minute to talk with obnoxious radical protesters, one mean but fun trick would be to skip politics altogether and hit them on existential challenges. One could say “you know you are all going to die someday? I guess since most of you are atheists, that means turn out the lights, it’s over forever. Kind of freaky and disturbing, don’t you think? And you might be remembered a few years after you are dead, but that’s really about it.”
Conservatives tend to believe in Heaven or derive enough happiness from family and friends that they can enjoy their moment in the sunlight.
Radicals have no divine assurance, tend to have few friends they really trust, and bad relationships with their families. I figure if they are going to make me feel uncomfortable, I will make them uncomfortable.
I’m not saying they would stop protesting. But rest assured it very well might ruin their day.
