Love would 'take apart' Congressional Black Caucus if elected in Utah's 4th District

If elected in November, Love would be the first black Republican woman in Congress and Utah's first black representative. She said she would join the Congressional Black Caucus in Washington, D.C., should she win.

"Yes, yes. I would join the Congressional Black Caucus and try to take that thing apart from the inside out," she said.

"It’s demagoguery. They sit there and ignite emotions and ignite racism when there isn’t," Love said. "They use their positions to instill fear. Hope and change is turned into fear and blame. Fear that everybody is going lose everything and blaming Congress for everything instead of taking responsibility."

The caucus isn't the only thing Love said she would dismantle in Washington. The departments of education and energy must go, she said. States, she said, should take back those duties along with health care.

This is a young woman we “all” need to get behind and support, big time!!! She is right on the money. The Congressional Black Caucus is totally useless and has restrained Black American Progress and Success since its inception!!! And.....that includes Rep. James Clyburn, Newt Gingrich’s beloved buddy, along with Newt’s adoree, Nancy Pelosi and Dede Scovafava, the ultra liberal, Newt Gingrich supported in the NY23 CD where he caused the loss of a “safe” Republican, Conservative seat!!! What a guy!!!

Matheson naturally polls higher because of incumbency and name recognition. Hopefully, that will change as the spring and summer campaign season heats up.

I think her views on America from a sensible point of view and her willingness to confront the CBC and it's racist demagoguery will carry the day. People in all strata of the electorate are getting sick and tired of the race baiting and class hyperbole that serves the democrats so well.

That is so true. If everyone on this site would just send ten bucks, we'd have a huge impact - not just on Utah but America that so desperately needs more people like Mia Love in Congress.

I sent a contribution already and will do more when I can. I've watched her video, searched for stories about her and read all the comments from people in her town. She is a true patriot and believer in self determination.

I would enthusiastically support a Rubio/Love national ticket if were to come about somehow. They are people I admire.

I could see the need for a “Black Caucus” if its objective was to help “black people”. Unfortunately, the objective of the “Black Caucus” is for black politicians to help themselves and their white boy masters down at the DNC remain rich and in powah. The “Black Caucus” is a fraud.

Here’s why I think Mia will do very well. FIrst off, she’s a Mormon, she’s black and she’s female, and she’s a staunch conservative. I think the state will vote for her to make a statement against certain perceptions out there. There are bigger national implications than just a House seat in Utah.

I love Marc Rubio, and it looks like Ms. Love is the real thing. You know Republicans are so stupid not to use these inspiring folks among minorities, Can you just imagine how successful and wonderful our country would be if we fully utilized all the talents available in our minority folks!!! Obama, The CBC, The NAACP, The Democrat Party, etc. wants Blacks, Hispanics and minorities for political power only!!! I would like to see a lily white congressman show up for the CBC meetings and attempt to join, then pursue it legally when forced to leave.

Claim to be black and force them to produce an acceptable color pallet for entry. That would be precious.
