haven’t had their businesses destroyed by illegal immigration That is the fault of the Federal Gov. not state gov

State government can compund the problem by offering varying degrees of amnesty such as in-state college tuition, no E-verify...etc.

Actually, now that Perry stepped in it by proposing Iraq War 2 - with Drudge picking up on it, he’s probably through (once and for all), so you see me having to discuss the issues that conservatives have with Perry too much more.

I feel Santorum let the moderators lead him into fighting with the other Republicans. He needs to move away from that and focus his fight on Romney and Obama. This was Bachmann's problem as well, she wanted to mix it up with the other candidates when she should have been mixin g it up with Obamney

I agree with your analysis. Maybe we expect more than Santorum can deliver.

“Newt thinks we are behind China on infrastructure? WTF?”

I agree. Their coal-fired plants and other machining facilities are new, thanks to us.

...and yet another FACT-FILLED statement proving that Perry is conservative.

You've been given the facts many times. You flat out choose to ignore them..

In state tuition-veto proof majority in the TX legislature.

Sanctuary Cities in the special session-killed by Strauss and Dewhurst

Pro-life....parental consent/sonograms before abortions/defund planned parenthood's abortion activities

Pro 2nd amendment..Absolutely, Unequivocally. No question he will defend my 2nd amendment rights..stated that there are illegal guns on Campuses in TX..he wanted there to be Legal Guns..died in legislature, IIRC Defends Puppies against predators much to the consternation of PETA.

Sued the EPA. Instructed State Regulators to weigh the impact of onerous epa regulations on economic benefits to TX.

So, you may say gardasil..(didn't happen), TTC, (didn't happen), and all your other false flags. You may cry you got your feelings hurt by mean old Perry..oooh, the sin corazon thing.

You can say Perry isn't a Conservative, but I'm not buying it anymore than I'm buying the Prosperity Gospel a lot of Preachers are selling these days.

As far as debate performance Romney led tonight even though we make think would be a liberal compromiser once in office. I don’t think the Republican primary voters will see it that way. I think Santorum would perform better in the office than the others because he has a core of beliefs. But he didn’t lay a hand on Romney at all. Mostly squabbled with Dr. Paul

Santorum — he needed to do more

Romney is sure to win NH. The best RS can hope to do there is look reasonable, take 2nd, and hope Romney scores below expectations. That will leave them each with one win (once the Iowa change is official) going into SC. This could have been enough for that. It was his first real look for many and I don't think he scared off anyone. Unlike Perry, who shot off his last chance with his Iraq comments.

Here in Washington State you can have anyone preform a ceremony or not even have a ceremony. They do not have to be a minister or registered with the state. In order to be legally married you go to the court clerk. Pay your fee to apply for the marriage license. You get two certificates. Someone fills them out. Could be you or a minister. Then signed by 2 witnesses. One you keep for yourself but the other has to be sent in to be filed with the county clerk. If THAT cerfificate IS NEVER SENT IN you are not legally married. Doesn’t matter if someone said words or not.

Perry hasn’t been relevant to this nomination process since that debate gaffe on Nov 9.

Really, he started falling fast after his heartless comment on immigration on Sep 22, that was quickly followed by Cain’s shock win of the FL straw poll and subsequent rise in the polls.

Perry hasn’t led nationally or in any state since the end of September. He hasn’t really even been close or competitive nationally or in any state since then as well, and definitely since the debate meltdown in early November.

If you look at polls in big states like CA, FL, NY, PA, IL, etc... he’s at 1-2%. He’ll be lucky to top 1% in NH on tuesday.

I have no idea why he’s sticking around to SC, but he’ll be out after that.

That Iraq return though may have been one of the dumbest debate things I’ve seen.

Disagree that he lost becuase of the Bush 2.0 thing, though. He lost a)because he insulted conservatives on immigration and came off as soft on it and b)because especially with that debate moment people just don’t think he’s up to the job.

Paul was given MORE than enough time. Santorum and Newt both jabbed at Mittens, but the “moderators” moved it along, away from any elaboration.

Newt was glaringly snubbed (imo).

Apparently there’s yet another debate at 9am tomorrow (Sunday the 8th). Probably won’t get near the audience tonight’s did, but if some new topics are raised, or stellar comments, they’ll get covered.

I call it an artificial reliance because we could provide for our oil needs through other means/countries if we chose to do so. We choose not to, therefore there is a reliance of our own doing. It's dangerous because there are plenty of radicals in Saudi Arabia who would like to depose the royals and cut off oil sales to the US, and even start something with the Shiites directly or indirectly.

As far as the others, if Iraq falls to the extremists, it's bad. We know that Saudi Arabia and Iran are funding opposite sides of what could be a potential civil war in Iraq. Most of us expect Iraq to devolve into civil war, and I don't think we need to be involved.

Pakistan is a much bigger problem. If Pakistan and its nukes fall to the extremists, it's a nightmare scenario. Everybody worries about Iran getting nukes, but Pakistan not only has nukes, but it can't control parts of its territory, and there are known radicals currently in the Pakistani government. If the radicals take over Pakistan's arsenal, they are going to target us and our allies, and they are going to target India and you get the people in there who want their 70 virgins and they'll push the button.

To be attacked as B3.0 Perry’s policy doesn’t matter. It’s how he can be portrayed and it is all to easy physically caricature Perry as another Bush. I know their policies were significantly different and their supporters were in competing camps in TX, but too many won’t look past the caricature. Whereas Santorum, who’s worst votes were generally in support of Bush lead initiatives, doesn’t sound or act at all like W and thus wouldn’t be attacked as such in the general. It may not be fair to Perry, but it is true.

Didn’t he say if the Iraq people wanted us? I thought it was to help them stay free and not have all our efforts go for naught, a security force not an invasion.

But what’s the use, people don’t want explanations anymore. First words out of your mouth are it, no further elaboration necessary. Not just for Perry either, done the same thing with Newt and Santorum.

Well I have a news flash, Romney may never say anything that could be misinterpreted or require any clarification but he also never says anything he means. And that’s who we’re going to end up with.
