To be attacked as B3.0 Perry’s policy doesn’t matter. It’s how he can be portrayed and it is all to easy physically caricature Perry as another Bush. I know their policies were significantly different and their supporters were in competing camps in TX, but too many won’t look past the caricature. Whereas Santorum, who’s worst votes were generally in support of Bush lead initiatives, doesn’t sound or act at all like W and thus wouldn’t be attacked as such in the general. It may not be fair to Perry, but it is true.

I think you are right the real Bush3 is Santorum but Perry as another Texas governor that's not quick on his feet at debates plays the part of Bush. Not at all fair.

I don't think Perrys' idea of sending the troops back to Iraq tomorrow is going to win him many votes.
