David Cameron has said the UK is a Christian country "and we should not be afraid to say so".
In a speech in Oxford on the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, the prime minister called for a revival of traditional Christian values to counter Britain's "moral collapse".
He said "live and let live" had too often become "do what you please".
The PM said it was wrong to suggest that standing up for Christianity was "somehow doing down other faiths".
Describing himself as a "committed" but only "vaguely practising" Christian, the PM admitted he was "full of doubts" about big theological issues.

He has rejected God as shown by his promotion of anything homosexual. 1 Thess 4:1-8
Of course the UK is a Christian country. It’s just been infiltrated by muzzies just like we have.
He’s almost right: “was.”
Britians can be free from lefty EU humanist social dictates now.
They might be able to be themselves again; rediscover their own self interests, ethical standards, responsibilities and freedoms.
It would sure help us in the US if they did toss out the Soviet trash the EU put upon them.
Well this will give the Muzzie’s a reason to go berserk and trash and burn everything.
From what I have seen over the years is that the British are a heathen society religiously speaking. Very few people that I know even believe in God anymore, and I have been openly mocked for believing in a creator. People here seem to believe in Darwin, and that God is just an imaginary friend for some people.
Too little too late. With around 5% going to church? In your dreams. Sharia within 15 years will be the religion.
lol.
Too late now...
80% of the country is Christian.
England for all practical purposes has deported GOD..
That is the christian GOD.... except for a nominal tip of the hat.. at him..
Others Gods are quite welcome..
I read than barely 2% of the British go to church regularly. You cannot be born a Christian as you can be born Jewish. Being a Christian requires an active faith, not a passive one.
Blood of Tyrants: “Being a Christian requires an active faith, not a passive one.”
Yes. I think David Cameron senses the truth, but he wants what Christianity offers without active faith. Nevertheless, it’s a first step. At least he realizes something is going wrong without understanding the spiritual war that is being fought around him.
It’s true that most people in the UK used to live by Christian ethics even if they weren’t particularly devoted followers themselves. In other words, Christian ethics were part of their culture, and they benefited even if some of them didn’t understand the source of their success or rejected it.
Unfortunately, I think Western civilization is reaching the end of the line. We’ve reached a critical mass of unbelievers and our social institutions no longer incorporate or pass down the requisite ethics. I hate to say it, but big government is the natural result of a citizenry that is unable to govern itself.
The stupid Brit elites willsellgive through a new Entitlement Program the Mooslimes the swords to decapitate them. The British socialists and elite, effete snob Lefties have a death wish.
fixed it for you.
Western Civ took a wrong turn when the elites looked at socialism and communism as a viable alternative to truly free market capitalism.
