Agree with you there. And with a Rick Perry as President there would be no Dept of Education which is VERY close to my heart as a retired teacher of 43 years. :) Education should be under state and local community control.

I will actively support whomever wins the Republican nomination to face Obama, but my first choice now is Governor Rick Perry.
First and foremost for our fighting men. He’ll never let the BS that’s taken place with our military stand. He’ll remove every obstacle, that can be counted on. Perry is a fierce fighter!!!
I voted for Perry for Texas Governor, but I do not support him for president.
I’m sure of one thing, STT-—if that team came out and endorsed Perry, there is no doubt in my mind he’d go right back to the top.

Of the three — Santorum, Bachmann, and Perry — I think Perry would be the worst. I think he’s probably a nice man, but seems to be a bit dim. Santorum is smart, has good values and a good grasp of the issues, but he’s WHINY. Reminds of of Sid in “Tom Sawyer”. Bachmann is smart, is very seldom whiny, and is up on all the issues. Her weird hubby may be a drawback. I don’t love any of them, but think Bachmann would be best of the three.
Basically, I’m depressed about our whole slate.

Yeah, we're all liberals around here, everyone but you. To call Allegra a liberal is laughable and you'd have to live under a rock not to have read the reports she posted while in Iraq. Try to get your stories straight Fawn, you're making a fool out of yourself. But perhaps that is what you want, attention any way you can get it.
I believe the same about Governor Perry. I am not looking for a smooth talking debater, but a Conservative with executive experience, honesty and consistency on issues, and a fighter for our military/National Security. The fact that he is a veteran is another plus!
