Police in riot gear deal with Penn State students gathering to support Joe Paterno

STATE COLLEGE -- More than a thousand Penn State students are moving between the campus and downtown, chanting in support of football coach Joe Paterno, whose job has been questioned over his handling of sex-abuse allegations involving a former coach.

Crowds began to gather around 10 p.m. on Beaver Avenue. After police in riot gear told them to move along, the students moved to Old Main. They sang the alma mater, professed their love for Paterno and profanely denounced Sandusky. They pointed toward Penn State president Graham Spanier's still-lit office. Then, after a brief "back to Beaver" chant, the crowd returned to Beaver Avenue.

Now will they find the DA who was ?

They never found his body and his family wanted him declared dead. And he was declared so this year.

I'm not defending him. I'm pointing out that others have a part in this. I suspect that somewhere in this there is a homophilic element in the power structure that is going undiscussed. I don't think that Joe is the main player in that aspect. Homosexuals have gained a tremendous foothold in the major organizations in society. They make rooting out abusers difficult.

That would be the college president.

And others.

NO Cheers, unfortunately.

Immaturity, and fear of humiliation.

Children and youth who are molested and/or abused understand the events are taking place but develop a distorted appraisal of them. For instance, they are molested so they assume everyone is molested. It’s “normal”.

This is partially why adults who were molested as children have a very high rate of personality disorders: there develops a strong connotative dissonance where you assume everyone has sex with children even though you have the life experience to know it’s not true. But, because you’ve learned it as a child it becomes engrained in your psyche.

Getting rid of that perspective is literally like trying to unlearn how to tie your shoes.

It’s all nasty stuff.

just heard a reporter ask this question. Can you get the team back after all they have gone through? Are you kidding me, the football students have been through, what about the poor kids who were molested, now we have sympathy for the team losing their coach but the poor kids molested can piss off , I mean the team has a lot fo play for yet,. This country has lost the plot, seriously. Asking about the poor team and what they have been through and nothing about the little boys.

Thanks for the insight, Psycho B.

I know it’s common for abused children not to come forward but you would think there would be ONE at the time.

But sometimes kids also don’t feel safe telling a critical or emotionally detached parent too.

When my daughter was about 12, the whole cheerleading squad wrote her nasty notes and told her they hated her(due to one jealous perp). She didn’t tell me about it then and suffered in silence. I must have given her the impression that I wasn’t available. I don’t feel good about that memory.

“...but isn’t this about a homosexual touching little boys of...”

Hey manc buddy!!

It’s about a homo RAPING young troubled boys, repeatedly, over the course of about 10 years, and allegedly, Paterno and others Knew it was happening, but did not call the police, because the homo pedophile was one of the football coaching staff.

This queer child molester Sandusky set up a program for “Troubled Youths” as a way of getting access to youngsters.

Paterno and others, evidently knew this was an ongoing thing, and did NOT get the police involved; they appear to have tried to deal with it administratively within the University system.

I guess protecting a standard liberal “Protected Victim Class” (homo) is more important to the university than the youngsters that have been raped and damaged for life...

makes sense...i mean i’m sure the students will have no problem ponying up another $25K in tuition to offset the revenue not brought in by sports...then they’ll all be with the OWS movement whining like children about having their student loans forgiven...

thanks pal.

Funny how these child molesters are never called homosexuals when they clearly are homosexuals, mmmmmmmm.

As for the reaction of the students, shocking, instead of rioting for the justice of the little molested boys they go and riot for a football coach.

The media, the students and the school seem not to care that kids have been raped but instead more concerned over football and their team.

This has just shown many of us how disgusting people are .
Football and a coaches job over kids being raped.

Then there are those on the right who say we should nto talk about social issues.
they can piss off

A man of honor and integrity does not simply report the abuse of a child. A man of honor and integrity puts the safety and welfare of children above his career, football program, and school.

Obama's (former) "Safe School Czar" Kevin
"use a condom" Jennings
__________________________________________________________

From the Washington Times...

EDITORIAL: At the president's pleasure
'Safe school czar' encouraged child sex with an older man
September 28, 2009

A teacher was told by a 15-year-old high school sophomore that he was having homosexual sex with an "older man." At the very least, statutory rape occurred. Fox News reported that the teacher violated a state law requiring that he report the abuse. That former teacher, Kevin Jennings, is President Obama's "safe school czar". It's getting hard to keep track of all of this president's problematic appointments. Clearly, the process for vetting White House employees has broken down.

In this one case in which Mr. Jennings had a real chance to protect a young boy from a sexual predator, he not only failed to do what the law required but actually encouraged the relationship.

According to Mr. Jennings' own description in a new audiotape discovered by Fox News, the 15-year-old boy met the "older man" in a "bus station bathroom" and was taken to the older man's home that night. When some details about the case became public, Mr. Jennings threatened to sue another teacher who called his failure to report the statutory rape "unethical." Mr. Jennings' defenders asserted that there was no evidence that he was aware the student had sex with the older man.

However, the new audiotape contradicts this claim. In 2000, Mr. Jennings gave a talk to the Iowa chapter of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, an advocacy group that promotes homosexuality in schools. On the tape, Mr. Jennings recollected that he told the student to make sure "to use a condom" when he was with the older man. That he actively encouraged the relationship is reinforced by Mr. Jennings' own description in his 1994 book, "One Teacher in 10." In that account, the teacher boasts how he allayed the student's concerns about the relationship to such a degree that the 15-year-old "left my office with a smile on his face that I would see every time I saw him on the campus for the next two years, until he graduated."

Mr. Jennings' denials about these events reveal a lack of remorse. He has not admitted that he made mistakes in this case, and he now refuses to answer any questions about the scandal. Don't forget, this is a presidential appointee we're talking about. Mr. Obama should make clear what his standards are for public servants serving at the pleasure of the president. Encouraging and covering up man-boy sexual activity are serious offenses. The White House should force Mr. Jennings to come clean.

What you are seeing is simply another product of the Graham Spanier admin.

Funny. Missing in many reports is the kids were demanding Spanier be removed. They were also demanding that no college money be used in defense of the pervs. If you noticed the weasel at the news conference avoided answering that question when asked.

Penn State "hired" the riot police 24 hours before the announcement. They also tear gassed on campus. Think about it. The fix is in. How much do contracted riot control police cost? What does that say about the Board of Trustees? They are not immune to the cover up. They were also part of it.

This is only about money. That is what college is today. It is a business that operates outside the laws.

Having a bad day eh?

What you want to bet they get to pay 25k more this year, (more likely the taxpayers), for the damages from the riot?

How much of this could have been avoided by a little spanking when they were children...
